1st FROG Rally Completed. What's Next?
As you may have read the Branson MO. 1st Forest River Owners Group Rally is water under the bridge. It was a fantastic success because everyone did their part to make it that way.
It sems that FROG rallys should be more than one depending upon the area of the country you are located.
I'd like to see one in central to southern California.
Anyone want to grab the frogs leg and go for it?
Yah!

I would like to be part of the community for sure but wondering if someone with more experience should lead.

What do you think would be a good area that has a lot going for the local community and would have a campground that would be resonable in price for California. I really would like someplace on the coast and would consider Santa Maria south all the way to Chula Vista.

Let me do a little research and get back to you on campgrounds among the coast. I can think of a couple of campgrounds that is walking distance to the beach but need to find out about hookups.
It's not ocean side but I'm spending Memorial Day weekend at a nice regional park inland (Prado Park in Ontario/Chino area). It has a lake, lots of sites that are large & open, hookups are included and reasonable price. It's pretty by it self but there are many stores and a big mall are just a reasonable drive. Beaches, desert, mountains, Magic Mountain, Knott Berry Farm, Disneyland, and Hollywood can be within an hour drive (during non-heavy traffic periods).
State parks with ocean view sites are almost double in price but those cg/sites that is close enough to walk to the beach tend to be more reasonable. My experience is very limited so I'm going ask around for ideas or suggestions.

I have some friends that have camped down towards San Diego and I'm thinking the cg was not a state park.

I just checked and it looks like it is a state park.(Prado Park in Ontario)
Nice site map and most spaces are full hookups and large pull thrus.
$30 a day
PS I loved your signature so much I stole it.

It's an honor to have my signature borrowed. Hey - I just noticed last night that I'm now a "Senior Member".
Still seeking beach campgrounds - love the beach! I usually camp at San Clemente SB but I don't think it would work well for a rally for several reasons:
#1 Price - $60 per night for hookups
#2 Reservations are hard to come by especially sites with hookups
#3 Sites are very closed together - little space

How about Grand Ledge Mi? Are you trying to get me to CA John? Something like that might work, I was hoping for CO so we could take a different route home after or winter stay in AZ.
It'll be fun to see where this goes.

No way the pictures can say how things went...but...I've never been involved with 14 couples plus Carson who knew no one going in and we had absolutly no issues at all amongst us.
We got together and got along and had a blast.
Wish we could do it again tomorrow.
