There's a little recreated western village in Jamestown, right next to the giant buffalo. When we were there about five years ago, there was an elderly gentleman running a small bookstore. He'd been a close personal friend of Louis L'Amour, the western writer. If he's still there (although I fear he might not be), it's well worth pulling up a chair and spending time to hear some of the stories he has to tell.
Also, if you have an extra hour or two, a trip down the Enchanted Highway near Regent, ND to see all of the massive sculptures is well worth the time. www.enchantedhighway.net
See you in Goshen!
