Howdy folks, VERY more to the rv world, actually our first outing starts in about 10 days. Our motor home doesn't have washer and dryer, would the factory sell and install these at the rally? Would like to surprise momma, if so and space opens up to attend.
Thanks in advance for the info

I don't recall seeing any there at the rally, but there should be options to get them in the vicinity.

I'm assuming your motorhome is already setup for a washer/dryer so usually it shouldn't be any harder than a home unit. Hook up power, hot and cold water, drain hose and dryer vent?

Anyone who actually has one though can tell me if there's anything different.

deppity,
First of all, congrats on your new Berkshire and welcome to the FORUMS. Hope you have many fun, memorable, and trouble free trips with it.

The only issue is getting either the washer/dryer combo or the separate units into the back of the coach. The dealer installed mine and they said that they needed to do something with the refrigerator (maybe they needed to remove it) to get it into the back of the coach. The hookups are easy but you need to drill a hole in the side of the coach for the vent for the dryer (I think that the combo unit with the vented dryer is best- JMHO).
Good luck with what ever you decide.

I do remember a post a ways back saying factory work is going to be prioritized by what would have been covered under warranty (whether or not still under warranty). I'm not certain but I think it was mentioned they may not have time to get to adding options. As others have said, it's the RV Mecca so I'm sure you could find someone in town to do it for you.

I just put a vented Splendide in my Wildcat 5er a couple of months ago. If I had to do it over again I would let Camping World for their $79 install. If you had your own unit to install it was $300-400 in labor at CW. If you doing a nonvented one that's different.

If you have the time, you can also call the factory and make an appointment to have it installed there. I would call early and make it. They do save sometime to have things done at the factory...Hope that helps, it's worth a shot.

Thought that I would ask again just in case. Is there someone who for some reason or another has had something come up and will be unable to attend the FROG Rally in Ghoshen? I feel your pain, and would like to have your reservation. If you have paid your attendance fees and for any tours, I will reimburse you immediately.

Thanks ,

Kitt
