Is there priority given to coaches that use 50 amp service? Also, does anyone know how well a unit with two ac's will run on 30 amp? I don't think mine will without popping a circuit or shutting down the ac units.

I don't think special consideration is given to anyone with respect to 50A service. Those with 50 will just have to get an adaptor to use 30A and use one AC unit. You normally are not in the camper that much anyway and the nights cool off.

If I have any problems I just watch my training video and use a hose extension or add a air gap so it flows better.

I would advise everyone to have some extra sewer hose with them. If you get parked in a regular fairground spot you will probably need an extra 10 to 15' depending on where your outlets are. Last year both units on each side where short 10' but I had plenty so I gave them the use of my extra. Now if you are out in the field where you will be pumped out no problem. That has been the only CG that I have ever seen the sewer so far away. And they all go up hill. Also please make sure you have your ring with you. Last year a guy behind us did not have one and just put it to the edge so we all could smell it. Now that was rude, and he didn't care at all about it. He was not a FRF member, we all know better right?

Remember that they sell hoses right there @ the rally so "if" you need extra they have them.

Good to know. I'll make sure I have a 50 to 30 adapter and some extra hose with me. Other than ac's, is there anything else to be concerned with using 30amp service instead of 50?

Thanks,
Rich

Turn off the electric water heater and use propane.

How to manage at Goshen.

This will be a learning experience for many.
Some things I can to conserve power while plugged into 30 amp while in Goshen.
1. Will only use 1 AC and now way run 2 AC.
2. I have a AC and Propane refrigerator and will use propane only.
3. I will turn off all 120 volt devices and lights when not needed.

Just doing a few things can help everyone and conserve power.
I'm also the fairgrounds has done this many times and knows its electrical capacity and if needed will take additional steps to keep our lights and AC's on.

Relax and enjoy the rally and don't worry about the small stuff.
Meet and make new friends and invite your neighbors around you to site around the campfire and exchange stories. That is what FROG rallys are designed to do.

See you all soon.
Oh come on my place. I will be in the Forest River Rig.

For those of you who haven't done much dry camping. We carry plastic dish pans to put in the sink. We catch the water and dump it in the black water tank. Jim

No one will have to dry camp at the Goshen Rally. Everyone will have at the very least a water and 30 amp electric hookup. Also one free pump out service mid-week will be offered for those who need it.

one more thing that you might want to bring is a "Y" adapter for the water line in case two units need to hook onto the same water tap.

That is a definite YES, you will no doubt find several Y connectors hooked to each other. We had 5 hooked together in 2013.

You won't be able to run both ACs at the same time on 30 amps. You will need to close off the bedroom during the awake time and swap ACs at night.

I could be wrong, but I don't recall many 50 amp sites (even the full hookup ones). BRING POWER ADAPTERS. 30 amp campers should be prepared to use a 50 if there is one and you get put there.

I am bringing one of these Sears Local Ad at LANGHORNE, PA : Find Deals on all Holiday Gifts

BRASS ONLY as the plastic ones break due to the hose weight
