Agreed. We just ordered a Jeep Cherokee Overland. We looked at the Grand Cherokee, but TBH the ride and comfort was not as good as the "Less Expensive" Cherokee - go figure! Take a look at theOverland Lou, I think you will be impressed!

It comes with the Active II Transmission, so all you do is shift it to neutral, hook up and go!

Ground clearance is only slightly higher than a sedan (and, I suspect a lot lower than your truck), so I think Laura will like that as well. You can order it with skid pans all along the bottom, so if you do go in boonies, your undercarriage will be protected.

Wow! Sold out in 4 1/2 days. Since knowledge of this event is mostly word of mouth, it only goes to show how well the operation is run. Well done Bob and Cindy!

First time attendee here. Thanks for all the helpful info. I thought the registration process was easy and effective. Looking forward to meeting new friends.

This will be the first time for us as the dates were always in conflict with our other club activities. For anybody who arrives early or is looking for a fun event pre FROG try LaPorte IN.

We will be in LaPorte the full week prior to FROG at the Pyrotechnic Guild International. PGI will be holding public shows most of the week. Check out the finale show the Friday night before FROG . Pyro techs from all over the world (and Massachusetts) converge on LaPorte for a week of competitions and shows.

The Friday night prior to the rally is the biggest and final finale show. Grandstand inside the fairground tickets are best because much of the shows as ground based choreographed to music.

WWW.PGI.ORG. Or search you tube for videos of the last time we were there. "Laporte PGI"

AMAZING. Bob, hope you are good at "herding cat"....... ;-)
Looking forward to helping in anyway you may need. Have only crashed 2 golf carts in my life. Have a friend that has 3 " notches" on his putty for that event.

For the Toy Hauler owners...will there be room to lower our ramps and get the toys in and out after parked at the site?

Thanks!

Time for the fairgrounds to purchase more land to expand to accommodate 1,000 rigs next year I guess. The sky's the limit. If you build it, they will come the saying goes.

Typically, all sites are back in and no access to garage.

Well, last year all the XLRs were able to drop the ramps I'm place. I wouldn't count on it though.

There is more land the problem is services for trailers and secondly space for a meal and service space to accommodate everyone. I believe they are maxed out on all accounts without running a split meal.

If the XLR'S are in the same area as last year, outside along the fence line of the track I think they did have room to use their ramps. Maybe FROG Bob will chime in to confirm this.

Last Years parking along the outside of the track allowed some to have the tailgates down.
