Only members of the parking committee are allowed to use the race track. A few days before the start of the rally, the parking committee is allowed to practice parking rigs using prototype RV’s that were rejected by Forest River. Employees of Forest River and their families are invited to watch these professional volunteers as they show off their skills. Here’s a video taken last year of a few of the parking committee members practicing. Remember this video before you ask a volunteer to park your RV for you.

OK, I MUST get on the parking committee then!

If you are a True Southerner, you HAVE BEEN to a Demolition Derby. Maybe many! But I admit, even I have never seen one with RV's. I can tell this was done north of the M/D Line, because the stands are not packed!

To clarify for all the new attendees, just in case they're scaring ya a little:

The parking committee will not be parking any rigs. (Liability or something like that). They'll be patient and talk you through it if you're nervous, but absolutely won't be doing any driving.

Reminds me of the 1954 Movie "The Long, Long Trailer" starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez. In one scene the wife (played by Lucille Ball) tries to "help" and "guide" the husband (Desi Arnez) to back up their 40 foot Travel Trailer. Well needless to say, it doesn't go well!
Google it. It is a hilarious movie!!

And to the noobs: we're all in this together. If you need help, you'll find lots there. Nobody is going to laugh. They're going to help.
