Speaking of good eats. The corn on the cob from the fresh vegetables stands in the area is the best ever.

Yes we will as long as the "K" in 5K is short for Knockwurst and it's an eating contest. I was once a runner-up in a Nathan's hot dog eating contest ya know.

Those who went on the Brown Bag Tour of Amish Country the last two years had a stop at the Guggisberg Cheese Factory and everyone was given a half wheel of their Marble Cheese. Good stuff. I would imagine that stop will be on the tour this year too.

That would be these folks:
Sweet Corn Charlies | Home Page

They usually drop by the rally one afternoon and hand out free corn on the cob (sorta like a heroin dealer giving you your first fix free )

BTW, the Corn freezes well and tastes almost as good as fresh 4 months down the road. Don't ask me how I know

I agree, after having some I was regretting not being greedy last year and only accepting a cob per person. Not gonna make that mistake this year if it's offered again.

Bob, the guy who loads up on the Sweet Corn Charlie's corn and passes it out all over the fairgrounds isn't from Charlie's. He's Mike Stump, one of the key members of Pete's senior management team.

I've yet to get even one of those ears of corn. It seems that when it's passed out my wife and I are out for the day.
