Last night, I got an e-mail confirming all my details for the rally. Rob and Stephanie are great organizers - every detail for me is correct (or at least what I thought I had committed to!).

Fuel Prices in Pa.

For those coming to Gettysburg from the West, I was just planning our route to Gettysburg and noticed fuel prices are about 35-50 cents a gallon higher in PA than in VA. Pilot on I-81 in Harrisonburg, Va is $2.23 for regular and $3.03 for diesel. Flying J on I-81 in Winchester, Va is $2.35 and $3.03

Flying J on I-81 in Harrisburg, Pa which I think is the closest to the campground is $2.69 and $3.53

Tax-selvania!

Thanks for the heads up. We are coming thru Ohio, so will check prices and probably top off before crossing the border.

To all coming for the rally at gettysburg, there is bridge construction at the bridge before the campground. It has a stoplight and is one lane traffic. Also there is construction on us30 (York rd) coming into town. Be careful, be safe, and safe travels. We are already here.

Wish we could be there for the rally. Gettysburg has strong ties in history to my family. My Great-Great Grandfather, Michael Jacobs, was instrumental in helping the Union Army Generals get the "lay of the land" the day before Lee's Rebel Army arrived. His former home is in the center of the village of Gettysburg, and his story is remarkable.

Hope you all get a chance to take a comprehensive tour of the battlefield, but beware - - - - there are ghosts there.

Some photos taken by various FROGS posted to Facebook.

Registration table
Visitors Center at the National Battlefield Park
Early bird dinner at the Dobbin House built in 1776
Last two are from the Winery tour

I will post more as they get posted on Facebook as most here at the rally don't use the forum.

More photos from the wine tour which included a trip to a working farm where processes were explained. There was even a cart ride in a tractor and everybody got to pick and eat blueberries. Wish I had signed up for this one.
