The only reason I have a Ford is that Chevy refused to offer the duramax in the suburban. I have a soft spot in my head for diesels, and I really use the people-hauling capacity more than the utility of an 8-foot bed.

If you've got the 7.3 L diesel in that Excursion then just let to 'em bad mouth your vehicle because they are jealous and you will have it long after they have moved on to other GM products. I'm bringing one older than yours' and runs better than theirs.

Sounds like a "tractor pull" challenge. Just how far out of town will we actually be! But you have to consume your birthday present first, then I can simply out maneuver your swagger.

Seriously Ronnie... What you got in that thing, mods wise? And are you on DieselPlace.com? I've been a member there for about 10 years. It's a GM diesel site, but they still let me play.

Received a new wedge for the Revolution pinbox/Reese hitch just made available that is supposed to be made specific for this combination. Anyone coming to Amana that can help me correctly install it?

Just get a 15/16" 1/2" drive socket and a torque wrench, remove old wedge and replace with new one and torque bolts to 150 lb/ft.

MartyQ, why wait? Change it before you leave and enjoy the difference. Might take about 5 minutes for the change.

If you attended last year you'll know what I'm talking about.
If your new this year, well then you'll find out!

Those are two words that don't usually go together. Like "attack canoe" or "fireproof cat".
You have piqued my curiosity, sir...
