A Mini FROG get together in Tulsa

[As soon as we found out that George and Peggy Jueckstock were headed from Michigan to Arizona for the winter and that they were coming thru Tusa we started to think about getting together for lunch.

So today was the day. George and Peggy and Don and Shirley Breed from the Tulsa area and Bob and Nancy Schorfheide from Tulsa area met for a great lunch and visit at Cracker Barrel in Tulsa.

Travel safe folks and we will see you in the spring.

Keep an eye on the weather

George & Peggy, be safe on the road. News showed major snow in Albuquerque, NM, last night with lots of trucks and vehicles off the road.

We came through 3 weeks ago and fought the high winds for 3 days. Glad to be home in Vegas. We stayed one night at the Sky City RV in Acoma, NM. (This is just before Grants, NM, exit 102 I think) Full hook-ups w/ drive thru spaces. This is a tribal casino and they only charged $10.80 for the night (Good Sam). Night before was at a tribal casino w/ full hook-up for free, El Reno, OK. Learned these places are pretty good deals for just overnights.

Enjoy AZ.

Another FROG mini rally

Folks in the Tulsa area had talked this summer about getting together for supper around Christmas time.....SO.....as soon as we knew that Tom Payne was going to be home from Iraq we set the date to go out for supper for tonight.

We had 3 couples meet a Charlestons Rest. in Broken Arrow tonight and then came to our house for cookies afterwards.

We got responses from 2 other couples that would have loved to join us but for other plans or family obligations could not come this time. Heard afterward that another couple would have joined us but the whole house full were sick with stomach flu.....We did not want to go out with that anyhow.

We enjoyed each others company enough that we are going to do the dinner thing again on January 15th at 5:00pm at TOBY KEITHS "I LOVE THIS BAR AND GRILL" in the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa, OK.

Please let us know if you would like to join us and we will set it up ahead of time for our group.

The picture.....Ron and Carolyn Burkleo, Tom and Melissa Payne, and Bob and Nancy Schorfheide. Join us next time and you too can be in the picture.

And...George...There are still some cookies left.

Yep we seen all that snow and it was cold, 9 degrees in Holebrook AZ where we spent the night. It was nice to roll off the mountian on 17 and get on that nice warm desert floor in Phoenix. We had a good trip from Mi. but it was nice to get here.
We could see where all the trucks and cars went off the road around Albuquerque. Sure glad that was gone by the time we got there.

Take a closer look at that picture Bob, you can see that I really don't need a "care Package" Good cookies but I can almost point out where they go.

Another get together of FROGS

A few weeks ago JIM DOSS and wife GERENE, from Anchorage. Alaska contacted me saying that they were coming to Indiana from Alaska to pick up their new class C motorhome and would be coming thru Tulsa on their way to Dallas and points south and west, and they would like to meet and find out ALL about FROG.

They called last night and we met for breakfast/brunch this morning. We had a great time visiting, eating breakfast, got them fixed up with a couple FROG ballcaps, and they are on their merry way south.

Another great couple that will be joining FROG soon.

Travel safe friends. We hope to meet again real soon.

In the pictures...Bob and Nancy Schorfheide and Jim and Gerene Doss, ant the brand new Forester Class C
