The woman that registered me said she already had 20 rigs registered. She said the phone had been ringing all day. I registered the day you sent the email out. I'd call the campground and get an accurate count

As of last night, 20 Rigs! We also have a commitment from Hood RV to bring in some demo units (I will be talking to Hood RV later today and will update everyone).

Bankston RV in Florence has also committed to bringing in demo units.

The chance of a Country band to entertain us after the BBQ on Saturday looks good - we have a majority of the pre-registrants willing to kick in $20/rig for the Band.

The putt-putt minigolf tournament has a LOT of interest! Please note this is not "real" golf - this is a minigolf activity that involves short amounts of walking and only putting (and pure blind luck to get the ball through some of the goofy obstacles they have set up )

I will be calling the Park next week to see if we can arrange this. As I envision the "1st Annual BamaGanza FROG putter tournament" we can have a maximum of 72 players...so if you have not pre-registered for the rally and sent me email saying you want in the tournament, do so today

Oh I understand we moved 13 times in 16 years. This last week my daughter moved out of our house with her 5 year old son, so now we are cleaning and painting.

Hi all!
Just found this thread and spent the last hour reading the whole thing. We're in Chattanooga and would love to attend this rally if there are still sites available.
Nashville will be our first rally and this would be our second.
I don't see any recent updates on the number of reservations, but if there are still openings, we'll be calling tomorrow.
Sounds like a great group and we're looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi Kathy,
There ''should' be openings. It was a fantastic rally last year and promises to be even better this year. Look forward to having you there.
We are trying to get as many folks as we can to come and enjoy........more the merrier kind of atmosphere.
Look forward to meeting you.

We're still in the thick of it. Probably middle to late June before we get all settled in.....VA loans move a little slower than we would like, but it's a big plus on upfront cost.....so we're patient about it. Then we have a LOT of work to do once we get moved, lawn, driveway extension, etc,.
Thanks for the offer, we're somewhat stymied until Goshen with all that's going on.

Hi Kathy!

I try to post a monthly update - and I also send out frequent emails to folks on our "BamaGanza" email list.

There are still site available and if you woul, please email me at bob "AT" williamsnet "DOT" Org and I will put you on the email list.

For now, here is a "Update" and how you can reserve a site for BamaGanza 15!

The manager of Noccalula Falls campground, Ms. Kaila Fair, has graciously agreed to open registration early for BamaGanza '15! So, let's show our support to this fine campground by reserving your site for the rally as soon as you can call the campground!

The campground will allow early arrival (as early as 12 Oct) and late departure (they close in mid-Dec ). In order for them to accept your registration, you need to follow these steps:
  • Take a Look at the attached maps of the campground and select the site you want to reserve (you might want to have 1 or 2 other sites selected as a backup just in case your site is already taken!)
  • BTW, C5 & P5 are already reserved for Anne-Marie, Bob, Sandy & Dennis so we can be central to the rally.
  • Sites D13,14,16,17, C8, and P2-4 are reserved for the RV Dealer Demo Rigs
  • Consider your Rig size and take note of the sites that are marked 25' and under! (They are marked with a hot pink S)
  • Please consider your fellow campers and size your desired site to your rig (does your R-Pod really need that 50' pull through site? <361.gif>
  • Call the Noccalula Falls Campground at: 256-543-7412 - ask for Kaila Fair - she is working today and waiting for you to call!
  • Tell them that you are with the FROG GROUP and would like to register for a campsite.
  • Let them know if you are arriving early or staying late (Bob & Anne-Marie will be on site 10 Oct; Dennis and Sandy 12-13 Oct)
  • They will bill you for one night at the FROG rate of $21.17 (50 AMP) or $16.13(30 Amp)
  • Balance will be due on arrival
  • After you register at the campground, please drop us a email and let us know what site you are on and when you will be arriving and departing (bob@williamsnet.org)
Rally Details:

A LITTLE Work Dennis? WOOF! I saw the photos of your beautiful new home and all the landscaping that you will have to do once moved in (the trials of living out west - been there, don that Battle Buddy!)

Looking forward to seeing you two in Goshen -- hope between then and now everything with the move & VA loan goes well for ya'll!

Gadsden AL is the Goodyear Plant that made my Marathon ST tires!

While you are in the area, maybe you can ask them if they still make them there!

Sadly, no Lou -- I called the factory a couple of months ago and talked to David, one of the plant managers (I had this wild idea to copy-cat Goshen and set up a plant tour )

Anyway, GY Marathons are now manufactured in China. However, David assured me that they were manufactured in China according to GY Specs and GY routinely sent QC inspectors over to China to ensure quality.

I am inclined to believe David; after all that is what Apple does regarding the iPhone, so it's not a stretch to think GY is doing the same.

BTW, when I received my GY Marathons (LR D) earlier this year they were, in fact, marked "Made in China."

I know this is sorta comparing apples to oranges (LR C vs LR D), but I will say that when we popped off the stock "China Bombs" on our Rockwood and compared them to the GY's it was night and day (STILL Kicking myself for not taking photos!!)

Thicker sidewalls (probably the difference in LR), fit and finish on the interior was much better, and it just had a higher quality look. I asked the tech who was mounting them and spin balancing for me and he said there was no doubt that the GY were a order of magnitude better than the stock tires.
