I don't know that Monte Sano State park has 50amp service. DeSoto S.P. is beautiful, and I know that it is not a State Park but Smith Lake in Cullman is nice.

Cherokee, AL camper here

We would love to attend! Desoto Falls State Park is beautiful. It is in the north part tho!. It is sure a gorgeous RV Park.
October works best for us 2nd or 3rd week. Would love the excuse to take the Aviator out again. Count us in.

GREAT this is turning into a good thing(tm)

I am going to be speaking to FROG Bob at Goshen next week to coordinate how we can turn this into a good FROG Rally - originally, I wanted to do it just to get to know folks but now I am thinking of maybe getting a RV dealer (Dandy RV) involved as well. It WOULD be cool to do it as a fall colors campout!

More to follow after I talk to FROG Bob -- FROG Bob chime in if you like and please folks let me know if you are interested in attending.

My personal email is bob@williamsnet.org if you want to contact me direct.

So have we picked a place? the time sounds great. I will talk to one or two of the RV dealers here in town to see if they will give us some freebies for our outing.

I vote for Desoto as well. Monte Sano is nice but isn't full hookups like Desoto.

have another idea I am mulling over after Pennie messaged me and said some local RV dealerships would be willing to chip in some door prizes....

Maybe we can get a RV dealer to bring some FR demo units to the rally? If we do this though I will need to know how many are really comitted to coming to a rally sometime in the middle-to end of OCT.

Probably can't get a dealer to come if it is only gonna be 8 or 9 of us

If there are going to be 20+ though that also changes the calculus of *where* we can hold the rally...would start thinking of places like Smith Lake vice DeSoto SP.

Please reply and let me know
1. If you intend to attend in mid-to-late Oct
2. If you would like a RV dealer to demo units
or
3. If you just want a small rally where we will sit around, watch the leaves turn, and play some cornhole and ladder golf (Bocce optional )

We would certainly try to come. My vote is number 3. I wouldn't be too interested in having dealers sell to us on a camping trip. I bought ours from Dandy here in Birmingham but their parts department hasn't been the friendliest. Forest River on the other hand has been helpful when needed.
