Thanks to Bob and company for hosting a great weekend! Just what was needed for us, relaxing weekend, met new friends, good BBQ and of course watching a little SEC football on the Satellite did no hurt either. The mod get together was great, picked up a couple of new ideas. Good day when you learn something new! Thanks again, looking forward to repeat next year.

Back home all safe and sound. If you good folks of Alabama notice there are fewer bugs around since Sunday. ..90 % of them were on our windshield by the time we got to Vicksburg. Great trip, met some wonderful people and hopefully made some new friends.

well bummer - sorry you had bad weather Ron

We were supposed to have cool days but the temp Saturday got close to 80!

Contrast that with this saturday where we are supposed to have temps of 16 degrees with the wind chill factored in!

Currently it is 45 deg, rainy and windy - what a difference a week makes!

Add me For the mill creek AL-Tenn Rally. Even put me on waiting list if full.
Helen Keller home is near there for folks that have done the Jack Daniels tour.

And if the rally is somewhere near the Helen Keller home, it isn't that far to the Coon Dog Cemetery in Cherokee, AL...the one and only of its kind in the entire US of A

Alabama FROG Rally

From Elkmont, AL, 1 hr 43 min to Tuscumbia, From Helen Keller's Ivy Green birthplace, we take 247 off Hwy 72, 31 minutes,24 miles and turn on 21 to the cemetery. Should be an interesting day. Gotta present this to BOB TOO. He's also talking about a Spring affair too.
Regards

Do you have to have a connection to Alabama to join? Like being a FR owner to be a frog?

Will do Rivnut!

Thanks for the good words Capt Mike!

Same to you as well Ramblin Recks!

As for who can attend - assuming we use it for next year - and folks loved it so much, Margie & Mason would have to close the camp for me to not have a riot on my hands for NOT using it - only folks with Forest River RVs can attend this event. Glenn, you are welcome to attend (Shoot, Dennis came from TEXAS!)

Since this is a "Official" (as in sponsored by Forest River) FROG Rally, and since the MAX RVs we can host is 28 (assuming we double up 4 R-Pods & 4 A-Frames/Pop-Ups). Threre are really no "additional" sites for "SOBs"

Once I get a date for next year's Rally, I will post it and we can do a first come-first reserved reservation system. Problem is, the notification for the rally will have to be OFF the FRF because FROG Bob sent a email out to all the FROG owners in the tri-state area many of which (GASP! ) are not FRF members! Since they attended this year (and turned a 7 rig rally into a 22 rig with 6 on wait-list rally) it would be unfair not to include them on the 2015 notification and first come-first reserved list.

So, to be fair to all, what I will do is this: when I get the 2015 date, I will post here and ask you to PM me your email address if you are interested in attending. I will then give that list to FROG Bob and he can send out the invite to the Tri-state FROG owners. The first 20 folks to reply to me are in!

(No my math is not wrong, I get a site as does CSMRetired - my trusty Co-Host without which this year's Rally would not have gone NEARLY as smoothly as it did! Thanks again Dennis!)

You're quite welcome kind Sir. We'll be there next year as well, no hesitation, no questions, no doubt. As long as we can put fuel in the 'Hoopty House' and gas in the 'Hoopty' to get around in. Never know when you might need to run up to the Piggly Wiggly.

Or the Dollar General

Of course a beer run is a major 30+ mile undertaking
(Elkmont is in one of those quaint dry counties in the South )

We want to stay in the loop for the next Al Rally. Actually live in Georgia, but spend 6-8 weeks at Windcreek State Park while I'm working.

Absolutely Richall!!

And....considering it is 2015...would like to get some feedback from folks when they would like to see the next Bamaganza?!

Personal preference is anytime after Feb and before Memorial day / anytime after Labor Day and before Thanksgiving (to damn HOT in Bama those other times of the year )

Had just bought our Salem27rkss last year and missed the rally but would love to attend this year. We love the campground and owners at Elkmont, AL. And have stayed there since the rally. Please HSVBamaBob keep us updated on the event. We have never been to a frog rally and would like to participate. Thanks.
