Any interest in a Northeast Rally???

Who would be interested in a Northeast Rally? Could be somewhere in the Catskills or Lower Birkshire's. Mid July perhaps. If I can get 10 families interested in the idea by the end of March I will start placing calls to try and get group rates and present a few options to vote on. Let me know.

We may be in dependent on time frame and dates. We are going to be at Lake Erie state park in New York over the 4th. Site already reserved. We would only be avail. Friday night to Sunday like the third or fourth weekend of Month.

We will be in Ticonderoga for the fourth...

Northeast rallies have gotten mixed reactions... tried a few times to get one rolling - closest we got was the Gettysburg event in June.

Always up for a excuse to camp though...

Maybe just a few of us can catch up in the same place at the same time... We will be in Narragansett RI for Columbus Day...fishing with a college buddy in May on the Schoharie Reservoir, then possibly out on the Pepacton Reservoir in late September... most of our family travels this year are southern...

Don't know about others here, but my season is already about booked at this point... getting good spots and coordinating with kids school and work requires us to book and plan real early...We shoot for 35+ nights - pretty hard to achieve without solid plans...

I might try to arrange a November get together in DE again for Pumpkin Chunkin... rumor has it that they are going to have the event this year even after a pretty bad accident last year.

Glimmerglass would be a great spot for a get together... real nice state park with W/E just north of Cooperstown on Ostego Lake

I think the attendance for Gettysburg will be greater this year. I asked Brian if we filled campground yet. He hasn't responded.

There usually already is one - it's a Watkins Glen, NY - can't remember the dates.

That's the finger lakes wine festival. That's July 13th. I do not do wine.

We would be in. Have you been there before? Do they give a group discount?

Definitely be interested, had a lot of fun at the FROG Rally last August, but we all can't make it every year. Would be nice to meet some members up in this neck of the woods. Maybe nice to tie something in to an area event, Quechee Balloon Festival in Vermont, or a Blue Grass Music Festival, also in Vermont. Those are all middle of June.
Just some ideas??

Right now it's buried in 2 feet of snow. The camping season seems like a dream at this point!
