I used to enjoy driving into TX and OK and fuel up. Seems everyone wants to make a quick buck. Even JR Ewing....

That 3.49 is a good price, in Georgia it is 3.79 for diesel. Best place to fill up in Georgia is first exit going North or South. In between not to good.

So diesel is cheaper than gas in Canada?

In the US it is just opposite. Diesel is 30 plus cents more a gallon.

This is one of the reasons why we chose a diesel pusher over gas....hubby works in oil and gas and he said due to multiple factors that are out of the oil companies hands, that he thinks in the next 5 years gas prices will be more than diesel.

I can't wait 5 years. I'm changing from diesel to gas and save 20 to 30 cents a gal. Anyway it's a reason to sell my '03 diesel truck for a new '11 gas truck.

I posted a reminder today of the May rally on the Wildcat Camper Forum. Those folks just don't seem to be interested in Rallies.

My wife and I have always been F.R.O.G.s, here's a picture of our little ones.

That is sometimes the problem Nigel when many in the USA have no idea what the price of gas is in Europe. Last May I visited Europe and the cheapest I could find it was 1.38 Euros per litre. Thank you for your input. You will definetly will enjoy your time in Canada and the US when you get here. So you still are buying a truck and trailer in Canada. Is the legal stuff all worked out? Don't forget to buy a GPS for your US trip.

Anyway we hope you have a chance to meet us in Branson MO in May.

Buying the truck in Canada but the 5er in Ohio. The legal stuff is worked out in principle and the gps is under investigation, just can't decide which one. We fly to Dublin first and spend three days there before we fly to Vancouver on 4 April. Getting excited and nervous at the same time!

See you soon.

Attack of the frogs

The wife is getting excited about this trip and is keeping Lowes, Ace Hardware, and Hobby Lobby in business. We took the FROGS to meet the trailer in storage yesterday...and to check the inside after ALL of the snow we had last month. No issues that we could see.....YEA FOR US.

I can hardly wait to get to south of the border for a bit and see what cheap gas is as well. We are paying over $5.40 a gallon now. Cost me 99 bux yesterday for less than 3/4's of a tank. It sure isn't slowing down RV sales or anything though. The dealer we bought from has a show in town and they are selling a large number, including one to my BIL(although he bought a K-Z Spree)

Sorry to hear that you won't be able to join us. Maybe next trip we can arrange a trip into Canada? Where would be a great summer /warm location in Canada that would be an easy drive in? Love to hear what our northern neighbors suggest.

Drive safely.

We were kinda hoping that the next one would be somewhere around Elkhart Indiana late June early July. That way we could get to do a factory tour of one of the FR factories and carry on back north to Barrie Ontario. BUt I suppose that is kinda selfish reasoning.
