First Day and the FROGs are Gathering

Day 1 at the Ashtabula Covered Bridge Festival Campout is in the books. Thirty eight FROG rigs gathered at Evergreen Lake Park under sunny skies and cool temperatures. After a Happy Hour get together many FROGS headed to the Beef and Beer for dinner. Campfires were short tonight as the weary travelers retired early in anticipation of a busy day tomorrow.

Day 2 and the Fun Begins

Day 2 of the Ashtabula Covered Bridge Festival Campout is now in the History book. Blue sky, sunshine and cool temps greeted the FROGs as they criss-crossed Ashtabula County roads. Visits to local wineries, covered bridges and other attractions were the order of the day. The evening meal was provided by FROG and entertainment by local singer Dennis Ford followed. Many FROGs walked away with door prizes. Thanks again to FROG Bob and Forest River for a great dinner.

Day 3 and the Festivities Continue

Day 3 and the FROGs continued to travel the roads of Ashtabula County, OH. Some FROGs have actually visited 17 of the 18 covered bridges. That is really hustling. The days travels were followed by an evening Potluck dinner in the Dining Hall. After dinner Carl Feather spoke to the group on the history and construction of the many covered bridges in the county. Door prizes wrapped up the evenings activities and several FROGs headed for the campfire for relaxing and good conversation. Busy day tomorrow as the Covered Bridge Festival opens at the Fairgrounds in Jefferson, OH. More to come.....

It looks as though there was a winery in the area, always a good thing. Thanks for keeping us updated on the rally and sharing those photos with us.

Day 4 The Festival at the Fairgrounds

Day 4 had everyone traveling to the Ashtabula County Fairgrounds to attend The Covered Bridge Festival. The day was spent at the festival and traveling to the many bridges. Each bridge had unique activities at their location. A catered dinner topped the evening. After dinner was the final door prizes and a special raffle for a chainsaw carving of a frog which was created at the festival. Campfires were lit for the final time.
