Chiming In...

Hubby and I have attended the past two rally's. We understand the logistics of this and appreciate the fact it takes a tremendous amount of planning. With that being said; the first year we were parked by Class A we were in a Class C, didn't matter to us...in fact, we like being thrown in to the mixture of different rigs. Last year we were with mostly Class C's with a few Class A's. You can't find a better group of people to camp with, whether its a Class A, Class C, 5th Wheels, Travel Traveler. We had our Class C for 2 years and found that it just wasn't working for us. By putting us in with a mix of different rigs, we talked and listened to many of the owners of what was working for them and what was not. This is the best part besides attending the seminars about this group. They are willing to share their knowledge, just like this Forum, which is awesome....with all that being said we sold our Class C and Honda Toad and purchased a 2014 Puma Travel Trailer...so far so good. The floor plan works for us and our two dogs and though we had to buy a truck big enough to pull it we think for now this what works best for us. I hope to talk with some fivers this year and get some feedback as I am thinking down the road 4-5 years we may want to go this route. We will be watching the FROG Post as we hope to get into the rally this year...Ah the luck of draw. And by the way, we sold our Honda Toad on the Forest Classified and met some super Frogs from Virginia...I can't say enough about all of you, you are awesome. Thanks for letting me rant er ah chime in.

The Mustard Seed, thanks for sharing your experience. I'm glad to hear that you were able to get such a variety of input and that your Puma travel trailer is working out so well for you.

R.J., you mentioned something about a "down side," but I'll be darned if I saw one.

Small thinker!

I like my steps. SO, I was thinking of taking them off and just driving up there with just the steps, and asking to have a new Champagne put on them.

That way, I'd save the techs time by only having ONE item on my "To Do" list!!!

That's the plan right now. When I get back home I'll be meeting with the Fairgrounds Director and others on his staff to be sure that they're still confident that they can get all of the water and electric lines laid in time. Since we have to come in right at the end of the fair, there's less than a week to get everything in place. That's a week less than we had last year.

And yet, despite the weather on a couple of days, the Service Tech team was able to complete virtually 100% of their work by the end of the day Thursday. Those folks are amazing!

We also were fortunate that the rain didn't interfere with the outdoor concerts, and had very little or no effect on any of the tours. Sometimes lucky is better than good.

The rain didn't affect the beer tasting event either. At least I don't think it did. 😀

I could care less who parks beside us, DW and me have never met a stranger. I meet the nicest people at campgrounds, I could care lees about what kind of camper they have, we are in this adventure to have fun and meet new people. I have met one or two from this forum and hope to meet a few more.

While being lucky is better than good, being both allows you to use the aircraft again.

Thought I would give it a second shot. First one did not go through. Have not seen the count down posted, so here goes.
