Autumn in the Ozarks - Eureka Springs, AR - October 12-15, 2017

Autumn in the Ozarks -- Eureka Springs, AR
October 12-15, 2017

Join FROG for an autumn adventure in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. “America’s Victorian Village,” this quaint town was named by Robert Ripley as “one of the ten most unusual cities in America,” has its entire downtown on the National Register of Historic Sites.

We’ll be staying at Wanderlust RV Park, rated 9.5/9.5*/10 and the #1 RV Park in Eureka Springs.

Explore the said-to-be haunted Crescent Hotel. Tour stunning Victorian mansions. Visit Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge. Marvel at the outdoor presentation of The Great Passion Play. Relax in the serenity of Thorncrown Chapel. Less than an hour away are the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Wal-Mart Visitors Center in Bentonville, as well as the shows, attractions, and excitement of Branson.

You’ll enjoy three nights of full hookup camping in the beautiful Ozark Mountains in Eureka Springs. We’ll have a Thursday night meet and greet, with potluck snacks and drinks; continental breakfast on Friday; and a Saturday night catered dinner. Friday there will be a tram tour of the historic town, along with time to explore the area on your own.

Share in the fun and friendship with other FROG members, and enjoy the beauty of autumn in the Ozarks.

TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT, call Wanderlust RV Park at (479) 253-7385 and let them know that you’re with the FROG group. Your full-hookup site is $31.50 + tax per night, with an additional discount for payment by cash or check on arrival. (Additional $4/night for each person age 6 or over after the first two.) A $30 deposit holds your site. There will be a rally fee of $30/person, payable at the event, to cover meals, tours, and other items. Sites are limited. Call by early September to be sure of a spot with the group and the activities building.

After you register, SEND AN E-MAIL to FROG at frog@forestriverinc.com to let us know that you’ll be joining us and give us your site number. For more information, send an e-mail to frog@forestriverinc.com, or call (574) 825-8532.

It's an easy drive from either Gadsden, AL or Kerrville, TX.

Questions....

We are booked for the Kerrville TX rally and had planned to follow it up working our way to South Padre Island and up the coast to Galveston that next week....now with the hurricane moving in to the Texas coast we are questioning whether we should do that 6 weeks after the storm......

Now we see this rally in our home state at Eureka Springs and would like to think about attending it that next week.......Have I just been missing this event on the calendar or actually when did this get planned?....Also, who is hosting the rally?

We have stayed at Wanderlust and it is a good park...tour of the town will be good,,,Passion Play is great....

Thanks, Bob....we will be considering it over the next few days....as I said in the previous post we have booked some things that week on the Texas coast but that might get changed due to this hurricane.....we certainly would like to do Eureka Springs with it being our home state....we do enjoy traveling to that part of Arkansas and at that time of the year...

I sent Bob a joking PM stating how much I didn't like him for having this event I can't attend. For those who haven't been in this part of Arkansas, I highly recommend it. I believe you will highly enjoy the scenery and history.

Hope those attending will take plenty of pics and share with the rest of the members here on the forums.

Enjoy, as I know you should.

Signed, EnVious in Louisiana (aka Evil)

I spent many a days around there when I owned property there. Great area and if you like trains they have the only wood burning steam loco in the US. Don't know if they still have the dinner train or not. Later RJD
