I had thought about doing just that. But when I talked to the guy from blue streak on the phone he mention not to use the clamp for dat. Didn't ask why. Heck I thought that's what the clamps there for.(adjustment).

It's also on the websiteThe tube pinch on the line between the tank and the t-valve is a service clamp, only for use when repairing the stool, or to stop the flow of the chemical.

Kinda made me think it might wear out the plastic line or / leak over time.

I can't see where it would hurt anything but how much you consume.. That may be the real reason that Blue Streak does not want to limit the flow...

By the way, did they suggest another way to limit the amount used, i.e., diluting...

Actually, Yes (says so on the Blue Streak Site )

Even so, I add 4-6oz of the home brew cleaner a lot of forum members use (equal parts of SuperClean, Pinesol & Liquid Calgon) after every tank dump.

The Blue Streak DOES a fabulous job of keeping the toilet bowl clean and the slight powdery smell is pleasant and not overpowering.

As for diluting...we don't. What we do though is stock up at Goshen - they usually run a good rally discount on the Chemical

Sure Ron!

From the Website [http://www.bluestreakchem.net/]:

The Blue Streak Chemical is a non-formaldehyde deodorant that is specialty formulated to work with the Blue Streak Dispenser. The chemical contains detergent and a lubricant, so with each flush it deodorizes, cleanse, and lubricates. It is three chemical in one.

(Someone DOES need to proofread...it should read "cleanses" and "chemicals" )

We full time and dump black every 5-6 days as it is convenient. I have been using the RV RidX for about 6 months and it does an excellent job at breaking down the waste. I bought a Blue Streak system at the last rally and now hesitate to install. I don't know if the Blue chemicals will interfere with RidX microbes.......
Yes I have a backlog of projects... So it takes a while.....
