Great Calico Camp out
Finally made it home from the Calico camp out, and wanted to give a BIG thank you to Trent and Sammy for all they did. All the little touches you guys added from the scavenger hunt to the parting gifts was just fantastic, and made this a really great event.
We had a wonderful time, and enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to seeing you again soon.

That picture of Berina & Sparky mirrors my nap with my cat close by after I got home today.
I'm getting requests for information about the group at Calico so maybe we should consider making a social group here on FRF. If anyone is interested please let me know so we can toss around ideas & details. It would be nice to get together for smaller campouts while the next big event is put into motion. What do you think?
Also I don't remember who made the Spanish Rice for the Potluck but I would love to have the recipe.

We just made reservations for Tombstone , Arizona. November 15th and 16th at Tombstone RV Park. Their website address is tombstonervparkandcampground.com. Full hook ups are $36 a night and it is within walking distance of the town. Would love to have some of you join us! Someone on this trip mentioned it at the potluck.
Spanish rice is just browned hamburger with onions , bell peppers and cooked bacon . I mix the rice with tomato juice instead of water. 3 cups juice to 1 cup rice. Mix everything together and bake at 350 for an hour - then hope the rice is done!

Thanks for the recipe. I didn't expect bacon nor baking it. Growing up I liked my mom's Spanish Rice but I like your version more.

We had a great time. Again many thanks to Trent and Iggy for helping with my mechanical problems. Looking forward to meeting up again. Trent and Sammy are the best hosts, great fun and planning for our event.

I just created a FRF social group "Wild West Happy Campers" to get the ball rolling. I'm new to this so I be learning what & how to do it as time goes on. Not sure if there's another way but you can find it by going to: UserCP >> Networking >> Social Group.
AVI sounds really nice but is there a chance of running into snow traveling to it from SoCal?
