Not sure!

We would like to attend, but have previous plans with our neighbor for that weekend up in the high Sierras. But in talking with them, they said if it's too cold and the lake water is almost freezing, they may not want to go. So we would like to have a backup and this is perfect.
This would be our first time at a rally and we may know one or two others who are attending. Do we request a site near them or how are the sites assigned? I understand there are 100's of sites. Guess I will have to check on their cancellation policy too.

Finding out the cancelation policy is wise. Last year when I inquired about an possible work schedule conflict I was informed that if reserved and then end up cancelling FR would be charge for my reservation.

Does anyone know the price for this year's event?

Golden Village Palms is getting $41 a night.
I don't think FR was billed for cancellations.

FR guaranteed a certain number of sites last year but was never charged for unused sites.
The park is trying to build a relationship with us to make this a major rally.

I hate to think that FR was indeed charged for a cancellation but that was what the lady on the phone told me. I wasn't able to committee so I didn't book a reservation.

Last year we were able to reserve only a few weeks before. Possibly we picked up someone else's cancellation.

$41 per night for full hookups is a great price for SoCal! The timing doesn't work well for my work schedule.

California Here We Come Update

We have 30 reservations so far, and need to set a cut-off date so the caterer knows how many to plan for...
So...Here it is...
Monday May 9.
Be sure and call Golden Village Palms or make your reservations online at Southern California Luxury RV Resort - Hemet Ca | Golden Village Palms RV Park and then email me and let us know that you're coming.

We're planning on another great rally, so come and enjoy spending time with Fellow FROGs in the California sunshine

Yeah! Our first rally as full-timers!

We can't wait! The place looks wonderful. We're actually there all of May. They have a "Taste of So Cal" event and a "Classic Vintage RV's" event the first two weeks with a sock hop, Beach Boys, CCR Tribute bands, Farmers Market, pet parade and more!

FROG Rally Hemet Ca

We have never attended a FROG rally. It appears that the one scheduled for Hemet CA in late May is centered more about or around 5th wheels and pull behinds. If that is the case are motorhomes welcomed or do we have to park in the back!
Does anyone know if there is one scheduled for the motorhomes at some point? Thank you for any information.

There's a little bit of each type of RV that comes. We had several motorhomes come last year. The Forest River factory was only making bumper pulls there last year as they just opened the factory and are still remodeling it. They are supposed to be starting to build 5ers there also. The event is for everyone though.

We made our reservation and emailed Gerry that we will be there. Had a great time last year and will be glad to see some RV friends that we met last year and to meet some new ones this year. Iggy stop tossing those washers and start beating those bushes .See you there.

We made our reservations. We are "newbies" with our first RV. A FR Blue Ridge 5th wheel! Really looking forward to factory tour and meeting other knowledgeable FR owners.

All are welcome! There isn't a requirement for type of rig as long as it is a Forest River product.
We started with a rally in Tucson and been to Oregon with an R-Pod rally. There were motorhomes there too.
Come one- come all- we're going to have a ball!

BBQ Dinner

Just because we promised a BBQ dinner on Saturday night, we've made a little change.
"Sweet Baby Jane's" will be serving us one of their great meals.
There will be ribs, chicken and beef as well as coleslaw and BQ beans.
We've eaten there and the food is really good (so is the beer).
While you're at the rally and want more, they have a sampler platter that we ALWAYS bring home leftovers.

See you all soon.
