Too many things going on. Mid June we plan on heading to California for a few weeks then hooking up with friends in Yellowstone for the 4th of July week then onto Goshen for the FROG rally. Then, Memphis, Dallas/Ft Worth and maybe Galveston TX. Should be home some time in September. LOL
I figure I should have about 10,000 more miles on my Georgetown by fall.

Have fun and say hi to all.

Iggy, if you get to Galveston, try to stop by The Bishop's Palace. My Grandfather's older brother, Bishop Christopher E. Byrne, was the Bishop of Galveston from 1918 until his death in 1950.

The home pre-dates its ownership by the Diocese of Galveston (now headquartered in Houston) almost forty years, and was one of very few to survive the 1900 hurricane. It sheltered over 250 survivors in the following months. The fact this it has a steel framework with two-foot thick brick walls both inside and outside of the framework had a lot to do with its survival.

Cindy and I got to visit some of the "off-limits" areas, including the top of the turret and the area behind the chapel altar (the room to the left of the second floor balcony) when we visited there about ten years ago.

Thanks Bob for the information. Never been on the east coast of Texas>
WE will be meeting friends there who spend much of the summer on the coast.

California Rally Services?

During the 'California Here We Come Rally' this year, would anyone be interested in having a Mobile RV Weighing Service?
We have the opportunity to get your RV and Tow Vehicle or coach weighed and let you know if you are out of balance or overweight by RVWeigh.com.
Please let me know if you are interested so we can make the arrangements for them to visit us during the rally.

Count us in on the weigh-in! We're new and I wanted to get my 5er/truck weighed anyhow.

We'll do it. I've been meaning to get over to the scales, but something always comes up. Do you have any idea how much they will charge?

There may be more people interested, depending on the cost of these weighing services. I am in this group. Interested if not to costly.

I noticed that Waldog asked about seminars, including boondocking. If there is any further interest in seminars, specifically boondockiWng, I would like to propose that we hold an informal discussion session on boondocking and other off the grid topics. Our favorite outings are to locations without any hookups. Any interest or thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea. Count me in! However, as a newbie, I'll be listening.
