I talked to him on the phone last week. He is on the road right now. RV show, Rally and some other event down in Florida I believe and he is unable to send out an email announcement or post to the website until he returns on February 2.

Wanted to give a little update on where we are at and what we have going on. Being our first rally/camp out we were thinking simple but we still have some fun stuff going on. We are working on a welcome dinner, a group lunch(potluck or bring your own), a couple of different outings you can attend if you like and of course evening campfires and lots of free time to explore on your own.
There is still plenty of time to register and the discounted group rate applies to all of us wether you choose to stay a day or all week. $46 per night. When calling to reserve your spot you will be required to put a deposit down($46) and pay the rest upon arrival.
If you know of someone who is not on the forum who might be interested in attending please feel free to pass the info along.
Calling the campground to reserve your spot you will want to say your with the Forest River group.
After registering with the campground please email Simplyrwc to confirm your spot number, and to help provide a head count for planning.

Newbie question, I know we're still in the planning stage, but was wondering on the night of the welcome dinner. I would assume it's on Sunday, the arrival day. Leaning more to being able to attend, but we'll see.

It's currently on the schedule for Monday night...
1) figured that would give everyone a chance to settle in without a rush.
2) allow for Monday arrivals if any to make it.
3) the hall is only available the first few nights of the week.

Definitely do!!!!! The last 2 seasons, I think it's actually been more interesting then the mens golf. Very exciting and growing by leaps and bounds. When we're not watching it, we're out playing it.
May have to check out courses while we're in Petaluma. Hugs, Di

California Rally Update
The Petaluma KOA called today. They were asking about deposits on the remaining sites. At this time (9) reservations have been made. They will hold a few spots without a deposit for awhile. The remaining will be put back on their reservation list.

If we lose the group rate if we don't have 10 spots, simple math would seem to make it cheaper for the 9 that are going to get the extra spot for 7 days. That would be $36. each as compared to $20. a day for 7 days or an extra $140. each. We could post that the next person to sign up could pay us rather than the KOA. Just a thought if it comes to losing the group rate.

Count me IN. We can PayPal the money as a gift (since that what it is) to whoever would handle it. Then when the reservation is taken by someone, and I really think it will be, they can PayPal it back.
Okay, who is going to handle it?

I believe we are good to go on the group rate already. Kaboom can confirm this.

bob213, I was thinking along the same line that it would work out better if we were short 1 or 2 sites, to go ahead and spilt the cost of the sites and still receive the discounted rate.
So with the above in mind, Last week when I was at the KOA I asked Melissa if we were short 1 or maybe 2 could we still get the discounted rate. I was told yes we would still get the rate.
The KOA staff has been very helpful and they are trying to hold spots in our area for as long as they can.
I hope a few more sign up, but I'm already excited about the trip and meeting everyone.

California Rally
Here's the weekly round up. Please don't feel this as a peer pressure post....just a fun way to see who is going and who's not. We all know life happens so don't be afraid to stay connected if you can't go. With that said, we would love to hear hear from you either way so we can plan meals and other things. There is still plenty of time to register and the discounted group rate applies to everyone wether you choose to stay a day or all week.
Names with an(R) next to them have reserved spots.
