We have camped there a number of times as its not too far to go for a weekend away for us. You can't beat the Zenders dinner. Last year we camped here a few weeks before the tornado so we are hoping they didn't loose too many nice trees.

We would like to go as we have never made it to a frog rally. I will try to get the registration done up some time this week

We have been there several times since the tornado. I honestly can't see where any tress are missing. The place looks the same to me. Wish we could attend, Pine Ridge is only about an hour from our house and we go there often for a weekend camp.

My DW and I are thinking of attending this event as our first FROG rally. Do you know what days the buffet and boat cruise will be? I stayed at the campground a week after the tornado last year and it wasn't too bad for damage.

We stay there quite a bit and I have never seen a shuttle to town.

Pine Ridge is an older campground. There is no pool, camp store, etc. The playground has a swing set, slide, and a basketball hoop. And like most campgrounds, some sites can be a little tight, others can be a good size. Campfire wood is delivered to your site.

I'm not aware of one, but can check. Often at these events we find people carpooling to some of the sites around town.

We looked into a park right in town, but several reviews and people with whom I spoke mentioned the sites being awfully tight and close together.

If you're referring to the Jellystone, then yep, the standard sites can be tight. But they're still usable. Been able to get our 29QBSS (~34' in total length) into them without too much trouble. And pre-planning with the map can give a lot of options too. (Ex. Requested site 255 last time so I had a laneway to line up with.)

And while it's technically within the town's limits, we still carpool into the downtown. It's about a mile away, but that's too much to ask of the kids to walk and then have them walking the shops on top of that.

Wish I could go to this rally, but we're already booked into there in May and it would take some convincing to get the missus to go back to the same location two months in a row.

Sent my registration in today!! The sites are not the tightest I've been in (Mackinac Mill Creek Campground sites facing the Mackinac Bridge), or the most spacious, but almost all are pull through. I've never seen a shuttle to Frankenmuth.
