Coffee Tasting Goshen (For Non Beer Drinkers)
For those of us who do not drink beer how about a coffee tasting. There is nothing better than a good cup of coffee in the afternoon alone with some good cake or cookies. Nothing wrong with beer but I quit drinking about 15 years ago and now its coffee.
If someone would like to bring some Kopi Luwak, St. Helena or Copenhagen beans, I will make sure and have the grinder ready..
And if you are wondering Kopi Luwak or Civet is what is called poo coffee, look it up if you don't know about it.

Glad to see you post this thread.
Though we're not going to Goshen, I often wondered about those who don't drink beer.
(blech)
I wondered if someone would mention a wine tasting, but your coffee idea is even better.
Kudos to ya!
BTW, yup I do know what Civet coffee is. Have I tried it? nope

Have a friend who got me some for birthday one year and it is without a doughty the most wonderful tasting coffee in the world. It has a very sweet yet strong flavor. I can not afford it for sure not at $20 to $30 per cup.
And yes we will have a table set up at our site with coffee all day..

40 years ago I would drive passed a coffee manufacturer on my way to work. The smell of roasting coffee beans was delicious. I often wondered why coffee didn’t taste like it smells. On that same route I had to pass the Lay’s potato chip plant. That was another great smell. My nose had breakfast every day driving to work.

We'll be glad to join you for conversation over a cup or two. My wife prefers Peetes brew. I'm not fussy, just so it's black.

When we lived in FL we bought Café Bustillo. GOOD STUFF!
Strong enough to melt your spoon though. Don't drink it past 5PM or you'll still be awake at 5AM.
I honestly think it's stronger than Louisiana's Chicory coffee, and the old sayin' 'round here is "that stuff'll put hair on your chest"! .....so I don't drink it. I'm just sayin'.....

Has anyone eaten chocolate covered coffee beans? My wife doesn't like coffee but she does enjoy the chocolate covered coffee beans. I love the darn things.

BTW, got no idea how I so badly misspelled Café Bustelo. It's Puerto Rican coffee.

Bought a can of this the other day:
Amazon.com : Chock full o'Nuts Coffee Original Blend Ground, 26 Ounce : Ground Coffee : Grocery & Gourmet Food
Haven't tried it yet. DH found it...guess he wanted "a taste of home" ....he's originally from East Islip, NY.
I found him in Tampa Bay, dragged him back here and turned him into a "Southern Gentleman".
He misses his Sabrett Hot Dogs something fierce...I'm looking for a way to get some shipped here as a surprise for him.
Hmmmm Father's Day surprise; Sabrett hot dogs and a cup of NY coffee?
Edit to add: oh emm gee I just discovered the Sam's Club here has Sabretts!

BTW, those sho' do look like Baby Ruth Candy Bars, eh?
