We have just managed to get ten more sites from the campground. As soon as I have confirmation of the sites, I'll contact the six people on the standby list to give them a link to get a site, then will open up the other four online.

I will not be seen in a cheap toy hat. I will get this one if somebody promises I won't be the only tool walking around wearing one! This one is 68 bucks, free shipping. Oh, I will bring bagpipes too.

Washington DC tour.....

We are interested in taking a bus tour from Williamsburg to Washington DC while we're there at the rally....we've booked extra nights with the campground in addition to the rally nights....Does anyone have any input , pros and cons, suggestions from past experiences in doing this?

Colonial Williamsburg Rally, October 3-6, 2019

It’s about 150 miles distance between. Don’t know if there’s a bus between the two might be pricey. Perhaps driving in closer and taking a tour bus nearer to DC. Cherry hill campground in College Park MD offer DC bus tours that pick guests up at the office

That time you want to spend in DC could easily be used in the Williamsburg area. Only have been going there since 1984 and just about all those years.

There is a company with a Washington DC bus tour on Thursdays from Williamsburg....was just looking for someone who maybe has done it or have info about it.

We were wanting to devote one day for Washington DC....I know that won't give us much time to take in all the sights there but at least can see some of it....at my age I might not get back to that area of the country again.... we've added extra days other than the rally days at the campground so we're going to have about 6 days in the Williamsburg area to take in as much as we can around that area.

You could drive to a Metro Station and ride that into Washington. You just have to look on line to find the stops. That might be easier then a bus trip. We stayed out of town and used the Metro to get around. Never used the car the whole time we were there. Just a thought.

Looked it up and it shows event is filled. Meh, Williamsburg is less than an hour from me and have been to this campground many times. May just see if I can get a spot if you guys didn't book the whole campground

Just sent the host a notice of our cancellation on Sat 8/3 and he advised he would forward it to FROG Bob to begin the process of a refund for us.....so, someone will get our spot.
