Colonial Williamsburg Rally, October 3-6, 2019

Colonial Williamsburg
October 3-6, 2019

Colonial Williamsburg is another world -- a step back in time to when British rule existed in the Colonies, but when the seeds of revolution and independence were sprouting. Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry served as Governors, and George Washington, "Light Horse" Harry Lee, and other early patriots served in the House of Burgesses.

Join FROG and your hosts Scott and Nancy Webster as you explore Williamsburg and the beautiful Virginia countryside in the fall.

REGISTRATION OPENS ONLINE ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, AT NOON EDT. Please do not contact the park for reservations.

For more information, and to find the registration link, go to the "Events" link at Forest River Owners Group - The official owner's group of Forest River RV, manufacturer of world-class recreational vehicles..

Lloyd, I assume you could contact the campground directly to see if they have any vacancies before of after the rally. You MIGHT have to move to a different site for your extra days.

Good luck.

Correction!

Additional nights before or after the Colonial Williamsburg rally are at the regular campground rate of $64.25 (plus tax), with a 10% discount available for Good Sam's, AAA, AARP, and Active Military. For additional nights, please contact American Heritage RV Park at (888) 530-2267.

I apologize for the mistake, although the regular nightly rate does illustrate what a good deal Scott and Nancy were able to put together on the total cost of the rally.

The mistake in the description is mine, not theirs.

Bob,

Thanks for the added info.....we plan to contact the campground to schedule arrival on Oct 2, a day ahead of the rally, and also schedule two nights after the rally, Oct 6-7, with departure then being Tuesday, Oct 8.....We've never been in this area and are looking forward to visiting the sights.

Anyone who wants to throw out suggested attractions, sites, areas to visit, please feel free to make recommendations.

Lloyd and Kathy

I haven't been there in over 10 years, but remember College Delly (yes it is spelled like that) next to the college was damn good casual place. Any of the restaurants at Colonial Williamsburg were good back then too, like Shields Tavern. Scene of my first mint julep. So good I got the recipe from the bartender so I could replicate it at home.

We love Colonial Williamsburg, have probably been there over two dozen times during my 23 yrs. in NC, , ... if you enjoy history, you can't help but like it, if you don't, it's just a lot of old buildings and might be boring, ... that area offers the Historic Triangle, Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, ... all worth your time, but we favor Williamsburg and Jamestown, ... in the colonial area you can walk the streets, shop in the shops, and eat in the restaurants(which would certainly be rewarding in themselves), but you must buy a pass to access the main buildings with historic value, ... such as the Governors Palace(gotta visit the kitchen and the gardens), the Capital, gunsmith, blacksmith, Randolph House and kitchen, Raleigh Tavern, cabinet shop, ect(too many to list them all), ... the information and trivia you receive at each site is certainly worth your time to stop and listen, ... if you eat at any of the colonial area restaurants(taverns), try the peanut soup, it's original to that time, ... at Jamestown there is the original site(its a Federal park) and another area that has a re-creation of the fort, plus an Indian village and replicas of the three ships that brought the Jamestown group over, ...

much to see and enjoy, ... we won't make the rally but sure wish we could

With kids in the military stationed all around Williamsburg this rally is a no brainer.
