Exclamation Construction on Indiana Toll Road (I-80 / I-90)

The Indiana Toll Road is closed down to one lane in each direction starting at mile marker 83 and going west from there. I can't find anything on the Toll Road web site that tells where the west end of the construction is. If anyone knows, please add it to this thread.

If you are coming to the Rally from the west, and are planning on using the Toll Road, be aware that there may be traffic backups. My DW crossed the Toll Road this afternoon and she said the west bound lanes were at a dead stop as far as she could see.

Hope this helps somebody.

Mike

Construction goes west for about 6 miles then breakes for 5ish miles, then another 10 mile stretch. I got stuck in that garbage last week going to and coming from Wi. It's the same east bound so pack your patients.

Thank you for passing on the information. I'd much rather know what I'm getting into rather than being surprised.

You've got me a little confused on Highway 12. Where are you picking it up?

30 from I71 to Ft W is a great road. two lane each way divided highway, 70mph limit, very little traffic. Some cross traffic but no lights. 30 West of Ft W there are lights every few miles and traffic is heavier. 60 mph limit most places. not as nice on that stretch, but still not bad. 33 from Ft W to Goshen is mostly typical 2-lane state-route.

More like an hour delay . We came from Crete Illinois to Elkhart Indiana. And stopped to wander around the FR Class factory on a 30 minute tour. Great to see

We took a little trip to KY back in June,,, I 80 from US131 to I 69 was the worst part of that trip,,, sad the part that we paid for was the worst road we drove on !!!
I have been told that IN sold they Toll Road ???
Michigan Roads are not the greatest,,, but we do not charge you to drive on them !!!
LOL !!!

Use your Google Maps. It routed us via US20 and IN2 last weekend at it was MUCH quicker than the ITR.
