OC, it's not as if I don't want to see you, and you're welcome to come by any time, but, Frank, don't you do it!
(Besides, Rugged Brown has just finally figured out the math.)

Naw, he's too young to have been exposed to a 10" Post Versalog Slide Rule with 23 scales and yes, I still have the one I bought for $24.95 in 1958 from the Campus Book Store in Rolla, MO.
p.s. I still remember how to use it, but not all 23 scales.

That _A_ Slide rule I hated it.
Bob I wish I could speed it up
OC How long would it take get the following figures by Slide Rule
From and including: Tuesday, October 29, 2013
To, but not including Sunday, August 3, 2014
Result: 278 days
It is 278 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date
Or 9 months, 5 days excluding the end date
Alternative time units
278 days can be converted to one of these units: - 24,019,200 seconds
- 400,320 minutes
- 6672 hours
- 278 days
- 39 weeks (rounded down

About as long as it takes to figure this out. If it takes a hen and a half a day and a half to lay an egg and a half, how long does it take a rooster to lay a brass door knob? Answer later.

Didn't have any idea this would turn into a slide rule conversation. Always wanted to learn how to use one, but never had the opportunity.

Very neat gadget. Had to take a 16 week course when I was in college which was good for 1 credit hour.

Answer: depends on if he is going to just lay there, or try and lay and egg. And roosters can't lay eggs. So he would never be able to lay and egg or a door knob, or anywhere for that matter....
Although there is literally no such thing as a chicken-and-a-half//an a egg-and-a-half

I'm beginning to think that some people will get committed before Goshen.

Now, now, let's play nice.
Some of us are happy, happy, happy in our state of mind even if it is a little off the beaten path.
