Checking out the tours list. Any recommended tours over the others? I know they said 4 dinners are included, what nights do they usually do those and what do they have? Any potlucks we need to be prepared for? Thanks

I just did a little data gathering and I have determined that from early 2013 thru this evening, over 8,700 Goshen Countdown Posts were entered and have been viewed almost 320,000 times.

I suppose in the big scheme of things, a bunch of RV enthusiasts getting excited over an RV rally may not account for very much, but, on the other hand..I'm a little awestruck to think how many lives have been touched by one man's simple act of counting down the days to just such an event.

So therefore...In memory of Frank VA...138 Days until The 2015 F.R.O.G Rally @ Goshen Ind. Posted @ 12:00 AM EDLST

and to your wife and family... May you know no further sorry.

If you're concerned about meals vs tours, don't worry. I believe all the tours are aligned to not miss any of the FROG sponsored meals. The only conflict I can think of from last year was with the PPST potluck.

Speaking of which, I know some of the PPST said they aren't making it this year, but for those who are, are you still planning on the potluck? We missed it last year but I would have liked to attend the potluck this year (provide I can make it to Goshen this year).

I am not doing a pot luck this year, 1000 campers is to hard for 2 or 3 people to coordinate

Maybe the "rpod village people" will expand their horizons and invite non rpod attendees to a potluck in their village.

It might be fun to have a pot luck for each of the brands but that might be too hard to organize.

Not sure how they plan on doing it this year with 1,000 units not to mention how they will manage the very long lines for chow time. Last year there were over 500 units and you were parked in most cases a foot or even inches away from other rv's with just enough splace to put your slideouts out and awning. I'm not attending this year's rally but I would expect rv's to be parked like that again plus many of them will have to park in the overflow areas which are quite a distance away from all the activities. They do have wagons to haul people around but it was much more fun when this rally was smaller and more personable.

SYE, DBLR, CSMRetired & I talked it over and, yeah, it would be pretty daunting to set up a Pot Luck of that magnitude.

As for the suggestion of doing Pot Lucks by Brand...a couple of night I was on a very important official mission in one of Bob's - ahem - unused golf carts ANYWAY...I noticed that the Cardinal, Cedar Creek & RPod groups (who, all camp together BTW) had community meals on Tue & Thur so that may already be planned (if you own one of those units)

Still, never say never...let me think on it and see what the registration numbers are like. Anyway, I will move discussion on the potluck another thread and keep this thread from being hijacked.

Phrank, you are in my thoughts and in memorium, THANKS!

Thanks Simcha.
