Utah? You betcha!

I'm new to these rallies but going to Utah for one would put it at the top of my To Do list!

Just wanted to get this up again and see who might be up for it.

Looking at Bryce Canyon Utah and staying at Ruby's inn RV park the week of the 16th of April. Ruby's has a special for 30% off until end of may. We are going so if others want to join us, chime in and see if we can make this a group thing.

Bryce Canyon

Beautiful location. Probably cold and snowy that time of the year. Altitude runs at or above 8000 ft. I won't be there since I make a living teaching. Lots of free time in the summer, none in April.

Check out Tropic and Cannonville for possible lower cost options. Whatever you do take a drive east on UT12 to Escalante and Boulder. Stop at Calf Creek. At Boulder turn right on the Burr Trail and keep east, at least until you get to Capitol Reef N.P. This road gets my vote for the most scenic route in the US.

Enjoy the visit.

I would be game for that. Keep me in the loop so I can make reservation if it comes to be.

Sure. And depending on attendees we could also change the dates.

Bump. DW and I were re-thinking this trip to mid August. Ruby's Inn has a 30% off special starting the middle of the month.

Any thoughts or possibilities?

we absolutely loved ruby's in last august. sat outside and watched the thunderstorms float by. we could make it again around july or august. by the way we were there for several days last august and it was wide open. we were in the new section towards the back and there were many, many spaces open. my only hesitation is those two tunnels in red canyon! we made it but we drove the middle of the canyon and stopped traffic both ways. I can't believe there was even an inch of clearance left. we'd love to go!!!!

Gals- if you are staying in Vegas for a night or two, might be able to meet up for a cold adult beverage

Meeting up with a cold adult beverage would be wonderful, but alas we are not doing Vegas.

Utah Vacation Dates

[QUOTE=HONDAMAN174;1338401]I have been looking at dates, maybe that second full week in April?

When does Utah schools have spring break?

Here is an address that shows school vacations. April is predominant.

Well ...no. Cause you and I seem like the only two interested. Let me reach out to FROG Bob and see if he can shake the trees a bit.

One thing for sure, DW and I are going.

the august date probably conflicts with the FROG thing in Goshen.

Most likely. But most of us can't make it to goshen.

Just sent out to bob and see what he comes up with.

If not then at least two sites would be having a blast!

We are in the Utah Jordan School District (West Jordan and South Jordan mainly) and spring break is the whole week prior to April 16 so the kids are off April 10-14th. We have booked at Ruby Inn Campground April 13-16th. This will be our first official camping trip in our new rig.

For those interested, finalizing a few things with Ruby's Inn and FROG for August 17-20 rally. Pencil it in now and should have the cemented dates and activities soon.
