Do you have anything planned in the Tennessee/Arkansas area?

I'd like to attend one of these if they ever get close enough. Still working so I can't get away too far.

A number of members on the forum have been talking about trying to put something together for Pigeon Forge / Dollywood sometime next spring or summer. I'm sure, if they get it done, that they will post it on the forum.

Also, if you are close enough to make it to the St. Louis area, check out the thread on here in The Rally Zone / F.R.O.G. Events

Thanks for the information. I was thinking about something in West TN or Eastern Ark. I guess we'll see if there is enough interest. Something around Heber Springs where there is boating, trout fishing, hacking, golf, and repelling just to name a few things, would be fun. There are 2 Corp. campgrounds there and several privately owned sites.

Heber sounds fun! Only a little more than an hour from home!

We just had a boatload (it's OK, Forest River also makes boats) of Tennesseans on the Wild West Roundup, including the Praters, and heard a lot of interest in Nashville and/or Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge.

We were just in Pigeon Forge for over a week, Bob. We drove up to Gatlinburg, drove (slowwwwwly) through town, shook our heads in disgust, turned around and left.

I was there last some 30 years ago. It was beautiful then, with chalets on the hillsides. Now it's nothing more than a miles long strip mall, selling junk you could buy back home at road side pop up tents.

Yes, Pigeon Forge is greatly commercialized as well, but we stayed about 6 miles out of town off Wears Valley Road...difference was literally daylight and dark, as the main drag is like Vegas now...never closes, and during holiday weekends it's a six lane parking lot. Luckily we left on Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

Fall Creek Falls State Park is a great location. It's about an hour to Nashville or a couple of hours to the Smokey Mountains. It has fishing and golfing and is really pretty. It is huts outside of Crossville, TN.
