Early check in at Goshen

Called the campground to get in early but could not complete because they don't have a list yet of campers coming in.

I too would like to check in early- either very late Fri nite or Sat am.

Bob, would this be a problem and how would early check in be handled?

The fairgrounds are most likely waiting on Bob's list of campsite assignments. I would assume he is waiting until the last minute to submit the list, in order to get any last minute attendees added. Of course, I'm just guessing.

He is waiting on the final auction of a certain person's muck pile position. Either on top, in, or on the bottom.

I called last week and the lady was very pleasant and not particularly concerned about not yet having the site assignments. She said to come 'round & pay for the extra night after we're settled in. Great attitude!

For early arrival / late departure, call Bev or Diane at the fairgrounds, (574) 533-3247. They'll take your name, and you can pay for the extra nights either over the phone or after you arrive. They're giving me the names, and we'll make sure that you get into the site where you'll be for the rally so that you don't have to move.

(If you really want to impress them, tell them you heard about the goat that just sold at auction Friday night at the fair for a record $17,200. Absolutely true! Overall, the livestock auction brought in over $1,000,000 for the first time ever.)
