We will be there too. Less than 200 miles for us rather than the 600 miles to Branson.

Thanks for the welcome! As most of you know, Forest River staff have been following this forum for some time with keen interest, and welcome the opportunity to build closer relationships with owners of Forest River and affiliated brands.

I was invited to interview for the position of Director of F.R.O.G., and joined the company this week. My wife Cindy and I have been avid RVers for about eleven years, and have traveled in about 35 states, spanning locations from Key West, Florida to Fairbanks, Alaska. While not full-timers, we've had as many as 240 nights in the RV in some years when we've spent extended time volunteering and hosting at campgrounds.

For eight years we served as the Missouri State President of the Coachmen Owners Association, putting on the annual rallies for that group, and more recently have been District President for a four-state area.

There will be a more formal announcement coming, I suspect, but we're already working on the Dealer Expo here in Elkhart for next week, planning the National Rally for August of next year, and looking into locations for regional rallies along the way.

There's a lot more to come, and we'll be rolling things out as quickly as we can. In the meantime, we're open to suggestions and ideas, and will be looking to identify volunteers to assist with the rallies and other functions.

Larry it is 1,600 miles one way for me So I have to start saving up my food stamps for gas.

So I guess we will have to look around for a campground or is this also being looked into?

It's great to see factory interest and involvement in our "camping lifestyle". It's even better to see that our "factory representative" is a seasoned camping veteran. Looking forward to meeting you next summer.

If you are looking for assistance with organizing things in this "region" contact me and I may be of assistance (I am located just down the turnpike from Elkhart about 1 1/2 hours away in Wauseon, OH). If you are interested in turning our second annual "Tadpole Rally" into a regional event also just let me know.

Iggy -- Facilities are being arranged. In fact, I have a meeting with the manager this afternoon to work out some of the details.

I so hope I can make the second meeting ! Couln't do it because of the usual suspects but will try really hard for this one, with one kid done with sorta done with university and doing his masters now, I might be able to pull the trigger on this trip !
