Ever have a rally in VA
Just wondering if FROGS will Rally in Virginia any time soon. Would be cool one day to have it for the Neptune Festival at VA beach. Just a thought

I'd never heard of the Neptune Festival, but just learned that it's in late September. We're working on some things further west in that timeframe.
Anyone want to consider hosting an event in VA around then? We'll be glad to help with arrangements and help to subsidize and promote it.
OMI, Oklahoma, Missouri, Florida -- Virginia, too, for a locally-organized gathering?

Let us know when you are ready for something on the west coast. How about 2014?

FROG, I do believe that it would be best that I attend a Rally before trying to host one. Wouldn't want it to be a total mess.
If anyone would like to host. I am willing to help and learn

The fordes- hosting isn't that difficult if you make it a low key rally. Just get a campground, block some sites, get a group rate and plan a few activities (ie group pot luck dinner or breakfast, maybe a campfire activity or two, maybe a site seeing plan). then start a thread and have those coming respond to that thread with their sites and dates they will be there. I can't help you on this one since I'm still looking at and dreaming about the sabre and sandpiper 5ers and actually own something from another manufacturer.

For the benefit of anyone who might be interested in hosting or helping with an event in your area, I'm posting a portion of a PM that I sent to TheFordes. This was in reply to some questions that I was asked in a PM.To give you an example of what organizing entails, I'll use the upcoming Tropical Palms Rally. Rick and Deb met us at a FROG dinner in Tampa in January. They came by the Tampa RV Show a couple of days later to visit with us, and Rick suggested Tropical Palms and volunteered to host a rally there. (We'd presented the idea to everyone at the dinner, and in a prior newsletter.)
After we talked, I had Rick contact the campground about availability of sites and whether thay can do meals. He got pricing, and I told him what FROG could do to subsidize the meals as well as paying for camping for him and Deb for hosting the event. I then contacted the campground to arrange to pay for all of the meals myself (for FROG), put out an e-mail about the event to everyone in FL, SC, GA, and AL, posted it on Facebook and on FRForums.
Other than greeting people and making sure that arrangements are in place for the meals, Rick and Deb will be pretty much camping and enjoying themselves along with everyone else at the event.
If this sounds like something that you might like to either do or help with, or even if it doesn't, please let me know.
You can PM me, e-mail me at frog@forestriverinc.com, or call me at (574) 825-8532.
