Five days until the rally! I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I will send out the final itinerary as soon as I hear back from one vendor.

Just starting to pull some things together ... doesn't look like any fire pits on sites just a main gazebo?

They had a fire pit last year near that gazebo but it was not in service. You may want to ask the campground. I do know they allow free standing above ground fire pits if you have one. We took ours last year but never used it.

spoke to CG .... unlikely to have the firepit gazebo available but they are going to check into it. Need to check with the wagonmaster (is that you Camping Gator????)

Bringing our fire pit .... it is just not camping without one night of roasted marshmallows regardless of the temp!

I spoke with Gayle at Williston Crossings this morning. They do not allow fire pits. We can do Smores on one of the two Big Green Eggs that we will have, in addition to another grill that will be there. Just let me know when and where you want to do this. Kevin and I will also bring the makings for Woofems for folks to try.

Also, we had another cancellation today. If anyone is still interested in attending, but have not previously signed up, feel free to contact Williston Crossings to make your reservation and then let me know your contact information, email address, and what site you are on.

DH spoke to them this morning also & they said so long as above ground... so I guess I should have called it an above ground fire pit! Just not allowed to have fire on the ground was what we took away

That is exactly what I was told last year so I guess the above ground models are still OK to use.

Jill and I are excited to attend our first rally. Coming down from Atlanta area and plan on leaving very early in the morning. Hoping to arrive by noon. We will be on site #304. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Got my sixer of craft beer made in Marietta GA. and I think only sold in Georgia at this time. Lets all have safe and trouble free trips to and from the rally! See ya' all in a couple of days.

Have a safe trip! It's going to be hard for me to make it through the work day tomorrow and Wednesday. I'm anxious to get the fun started!

Picked up some of our local brew (Swamp Head & First Magitude in Gainesville) for my contribution. Also, for DW wine from Island Grove Wine Company in Hawthorne.

Looking forward to the rally!

Spicy boiled peanuts have 12 more hours to cook in the crock pot (my appetizer!) and we head to Big Storm tomorrow night to fill the growlers.

Was going to day trip to Swamp head (they are dog friendly, first mag not) because we haven't been there yet...

Love the blueberry wine from Island Grove... we will have some from Cobb winery & Keel & Curley & one other winery to share later in the weekend.... don't like to mix beer & wine in the same tasting!

That being said ...anyone that likes Irish coffee ... bring your own mug on by ...we are bringing the big coffee pot & hope to make enough for a morning kick back ....just haven't decided which morning will have the whiskey & which will have the Irish creme

I messaged, CampingGator but thought I would point out to others that the CG will charge for an early check-in (in case you didn't already know), so no point getting there too early and have to wait to check in.

Just to add, check in time is 12:00 Noon. This is our second year so if you have any questions feel free to ask. We are on site # 323 this year and expect to be there at check in time.

Also, if you are in the South Park and your site on the map has a black border you can click on it to view a picture of your site. Here is the link:

Williston Crossings Florida | RV Park Map

See everybody tomorrow and have a safe trip.

Kevin and I will be setting up camp this evening, site 311, just in case anyone is coming in early. We have errands to do in the morning, but should be back around ten or so. Safe travels, everyone!!
