I tried to call tonight but they had closed. I will call in the morning and hope they have some sites open still. I am planning to be there Thursday and the family will join Friday after school and work.

I spoke with Two Tails Ranch about our group trip on Saturday, Sept. 19th. They have a two day open house event set up that weekend, so there will be different activities available on Saturday and Sunday. She says that she will have the information posted on their website by the 9th of Sept. Once the information is listed, we can look and see what events or times we might want to go, so I am going to keep the time slot open for now. The cost is $20.00 per adult and $10.00 per child, but I am not sure what the age cut off is for the child's price.

There are many things you can choose to do in the area on Friday and Saturday. We can even plan a day trip for Friday, if anyone is interested. Micanopy is a small town south of Gainesville that has a local history museum and antique stores. Doc Hollywood was filmed there. It is quaint, old Florida. There are two small sandwich shops available for lunch. The University of Florida has an art museum and the natural history museum, which, for a fee, includes a butterfly museum. There are rivers within an hour to hour and a half drive and many springs within that distance as well. Cedar Key is about an hour away. Ocala is within thirty minutes away, as is Gainesville. Please let me know if you need more information.

I just spoke with Gail at Williston Crossing. Some folks have been asking for the $150.00 per week special for first time resort guests. She cannot give this discount for the rally. They have already discounted the site costs for the rally. For instance, the cost for the pull-through sites is a $15.00 per night savings over their usual rate. Unfortunately, they cannot combine the discounts. Please, do not ask them to do this. If you do get the $150.00 discounted first week promo, you cannot participate in the rally.
On a happier note, Gail has an additional five units registered, for a total of 9 additional people! These folks have not been on this site, letting us know they will attend. The bad news about that is that they may not have all the information on the activities for the rally. This means we have a total of 16 sites registered for the rally!! For our first effort, I think that is great!
Please have anyone else you may know who are interested go ahead and register soon.
