Florida FROG's & Friends - Nov 21-24 2013 Rally

November 21th thru 24th "Fun In The Sun Rally #2"

I checked with the Rally Host at Sun & Fun Resort in Sarasota about doing a FALL rally. This is the same company that owns Tropical Palms Resort where we had the April Rally. It sounds like Sun N Fun has far more to offer. I think we will do Fri & Sat night meals plus Sat am breakfast like we did last time. Except at Sun N Fun they have a large restaurant. Jon Gould (host) said they will do buffet style with a nice assortment of choices. Plus he said he is reserving their prime sites up close to the restaurant. All are "Pull Through" sites! The discounted site cost will be $36.00 per night. Because they are already becoming booked solid with rally's, this was the best date to give us their full attention. And when they can close down the restaurant for our use. Put this on your calendar now! We should start making our reservations about the 1st of August. As plans continue to unfold I will leave updates. I hope we can have an even larger group this time! We had almost 100 people at the last rally. Let's shoot for 200 at this one!!!

By the way, this rally will be Thur, Fri, Sat, leaving on Sunday. But for those with more time to enjoy, they will let you make your reservation for a longer period if you wish.

We were camping there this past weekend and found many FR campers/motorhomes. Is there a flyer I could print to take with me to direct folks to this site & to make them aware of the upcoming rally? We chatted with several fellow campers but didn't have any info other than telling them to look for the forum online.

Can some one help me out here? What does FROG stand far and what are these rally's everyone talks about

FROG, Forest River Owners Group. If you own a Forest River product, and join the FROG group, then you too are a FROG. Rally's can be anything from a group of local getting together for a group campout, to a full blown national rally like the ones you see posted here in the FROG forum. I hope this helps...

We are there right now. Huge place, but they've stuck us back by all the mobile homes. Too quiet for our taste, no one is here. They're all by the ball field where the rest of the trailers/campers are.

Is this another rally for October and then one in November?

Yes. Just check the date of the message. There was a conflict for the 1st dates. This should be solid.
