Back slapping & hand shaking--------

Well it is all over. All the fun has to come to a end. Great breakfast this morning but sad at the end because it means we will not see all our old & new friends again until the Cherry Blossom Festival. What a great rally, just more food and easy going. A lot visited Ft Myers, Clewiston, Moore Haven, Belle. The tours to the Orange Juice processing Plant & the sugarcane fields, processing plant. Now we all know where the sugar "DIXIE CRYSTALS" "PILLSBURY SUGAR" comes from. What a tour from the cane fields to the refinery. A LOT OF SWEET STUFF, the pile was so big that a large back-ho was sitting on the big pile of sugar just pushing the stuff around!!!!! hard to believe 1000 cars of cane is processed each day, WOW! What an education.

Again, as usual BRAVO-ZULU (as said in the Navy) A JOB WELL DONE to Bob & Cindy, We all thank you for your hard work and super time.

We, (TOWMBO) & I moved just 67 miles east of the "GLADES RV RESORT" to the KOA at LION SAFARI just west of Palm Beach. Dropped our anchor until next Tuesday.

Everyone promised to be at the Goshen Rally to have another good time.

We will see you there.

We had great time at the rally. Even with having a blow out on the way down. Had to buy 4 new tires in Lumberton N.C. Only had 9000 miles on the original tires. We were lucky and didn't do any damage. Put some Good Year on but went up to D rated instead of the C that was on the unit when we bought it. Still made in China but at least they have DOT stamp on the sidewall. Good Year told me that all the trailer tires are now made off shore what a shame.

The Gadsden, AL plant that made my Marathons has scaled down operations while the plant was renovated to manufacture a fuller line of tires. It is ramping back up production (lots of job openings there - I saw when trying to research this reply). I will try a phone call to see if Marathons and what sizes are "on the menu."

Sure thing!

The DOT code (if you can't read it is MD - Gadsden, AL and the MFG date is 2510 - the 25th week of 2010)

I have the receipt but the DOT code is not on it. I paid $126.70 each for ST225/75R/15 D rated Marathons plus $27.60 for 4 High pressure stems, 18 bucks for 4xSpin Balanced, 4 bucks for 4xPA Trans Assist Tax of a buck for a total of $584.40.

Bought at
Kieser's Tire and Service Center, INC
58 2nd Street Road
Southampton, PA
215-355-2237

I had to request them and he had to special order by tire code to the warehouse.

Good luck (but I doubt he will back that statement up!)

Learned to make the birds out of dollar bills long before I worked for IH. My Dad showed me when I was around 15 yrs old. Good thing he showed me then as it has 33 folds in it and I couldn't remember 3 now.

What a trip!

For a short (supposed to be) trip to the "Laid Back Rally" and back to our home here in Jax, Fl. Jut got back Sunday 1/20. We had moved from the rally to about 67 miles east to West Palm Beach to the Lion Safari KOA RV park. Spent a week there sight seeing the area. After almost 55 years in Florida the closest I had been to the "GOLD COAST" is passing thru on I-95. I can see now how it got the name "GOLD COAST" (PALM BEACH). There are more Mercedes, Lamborghini's, Bentleys Jaguars in the Palm Beach area than there are Honda Civics in any other city!!!! We drove A1A
to view the area. Tried to rub elbows with D.Trump while sight seeing but needless to say nothing ($$$$$) rubbed off. Oh Well, maybe next time!

Ladies if you ever visit West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Lake Worth you have to get a listing of the women's consignment shops. Bargains that were purchased in NY, CONN, NJ, never worn, still had the tags, brought to the Palm Beach area, didn't match what was being worn in the area and then dumped. DW found a brand new $$$$ outfit still with tags for $18.00. Now is that a ladies bargain or what! Put this on your list for a stop!

Spent a week in the area. Visited the Flagler Museum on Palm Beach. What a magnificent gift to his wife for the Mrs. Flagler's birthday. All built with gilded gold, marble, granite, paintings in 18 months. The Flagler railroad is given credits for developing the tourist industry for Florida. Even a Over Seas railroad to Key West. It is a must to see such grandeur of its time. Seen my first PUBLIX GROCERY STORE with valet parking only!!!!!!!
Now where did I miss out on the $$$$$??????

We have to give credit to Bob and Cindy for our unusual trip. If it had not been for the "Laid Back Rally" I would have still been just doing the I-95 thing.

GLJURCZYK even my 12 year Appleton Rum didn't make me fit in.

Arrived back In Jax Sunday to a cooler weather, spent all day Monday washing "ROCKY" on the outside. Spent 2 1/2 hour on the roof just cleaning it. The Pine pollen has began to fall here in Florida as it turns every thing yellow. First signs of spring and planning our next trip in April
to the Cherry Blossom festival.

For you snow bound FROGS that did not make it for what ever reason, I highly advise you to make the next one to Florida for the Sunshine Festival that runs from January 1 ST to December 31 ST or when Bob plans the next rally to Florida.

Now where is my schedule book and Rand McNally map, I have some planning to do.
