FROGs on a Lake

We just returned yesterday from a camping trip at Carlyle Lake with RalphieAdie and Oklahoma FROG Bobfidy. Bobfidy had come up from Oklahoma and joined us at the last minute. We had a great time at the lake with our FROG friends.

Having a meal by the lake. Photo courtesy of RalphieAdie

Our three rigs were in sight of each other at the campground.

We're dealing with the aftermath of a storm 10 days ago that dropped a tree on our roof. Otherwise, we would have loved to join you. Oh, well, Goshen and then the Dells...See you then, for sure!

We had two very large trees that were next to our house removed this year. I now sleep better at night during thunderstorms.

We're looking forward to seeing you at Goshen and the Dells.

Looks like a fun gathering of nice people at a pretty spot. I keep looking at the Salem on the left and trying to figure out what the funny red and white flag with the "O" and the "U" might be. I know it's not a warning that BobFidy is "Out Unaccompanied" because Nancy is there to make sure he is under control. I'll keep working on it.

I was thinking more like “old” yet “ubiquitous.” That ought to get some folks running for the dictionary.

BTW Bob, Joyce and I have cleared our calendar so we can attend the Smoky Mountain rally you are planning.

I could have stayed in Oklahoma and taken a lot less abuse. Carlyle Lake is a perfect place to camp and Bob and Joyce and Ralph and Adie are great folks to camp with. A bunch of great cooks amongst the group.....everything from "HAWKEYE STEW" to fresh strawberries and ice cream.....YUM YUM. Thanks to the Show Me state folks for letting Nancy and me crash their party.

Just for the record.....OKLAHOMA UNIVERSITY.

More pics from Carlyle Lake

Good friends, fire builders, and an idea how high the lake was just a year ago.

Yep, good times for sure Bob. Meeting and making new friends is a major benefit of belonging to FROG and attending some of the rallies.

We’re definitely going to use a different restaurant in the town of Carlyle the next time we’re at the lake. Service at the LuBar and Bistro was the slowest I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant.

You're right, Oakman. I'm always happy to hear of FROGs camping and traveling together, whether as regular groups or just occasionally. Nobody, of course, can hold a candle to the number of times that Bob & Nancy and the Oklahoma FROGs gather for camping, dinner, RV shows, or whatever. We've had a few opportunities to get together with them. I'm happy to see that there are more and more starting to spring up.

Another Schorfheide F.R.O.G.

Son Carl has joined F.R.O.G. on Thursday when he bought a very little used Work and Play. We got to see it this afternoon and know that he will love it.
Welcome Carl.
