You are correct sir, we're camping for 2 days at Rock Island Arsenal, Moline, Illinois enroute to Amana. It's a miniature ANC closer to home and very well maintained. Amana weather is calling for 40mph winds today, Perhaps we could use this to visit downtown... Click image for larger version

We will be heading out in the morning. Should be there tomorrow afternoon. Hope the wind calms down, I don't want a cold wind blowing up my short britches

In Tennessee we call these winds a Tornado ! They must be 40mph sustained. We are basically trapped inside the camper as the door requires two people to open right now. Tossed a piece of firewood out and it traveled 2 sites over.

We are all set up in the Iowa Wind Research Institute and Awning Pole Proving Grounds. Not for nothing, but i averaged 29 miles a gallon on the way up here.

Those coming from the South today are probably being pushed along. We drove West and I am sure glad to be off the road now. Sutting here at site I-7, the RV is a rockin and not because of anything we are doing.[emoji16]

I made it! That 21 minute drive was killer though. Took me longer to pack than it did to get here!
I'm in K8

This lightning storm is crazy right now. I'm out drinking a beer watching it for a little bit. It's cooling off now.

If you are coming to Frogtoberfest but not already here, leave your t-shirts & shorts at home. Yesterday temps were 85 but today it's minus 45 degrees. The Yeti snow monster was seen earlier going thru the campground.

Actual temp = 40°

Feels like temp = -40°

Remember we came here from below the Mason/Dixon line. 45 degree change in weather in 12 hours means the world is coming to an end....after the Amana parade of course.
