Frogtoberfest Camper Crawl
So we all like taking a peek when someone gets a new camper, right? So this year at Frogtoberfest in Amana we are trying something new, a Camper Crawl. Its like a Pub Crawl, but with campers!
How this is going to work... bear in mind, some details may change as conditions warrant
Those interested in joining will gather at a starting camper, we will take about 15 minutes to have a quickie tour of that camper, and the owner can use that time to show off its features or otherwise answer questions. The owner of the camper WILL PROVIDE a small "refreshment" for the group. Think jello-shot, homemade wine, tasting of favorite local brew or something similar. After 15 minutes of checking it out, the whole group will proceed en masse to the next camper and the cycle will repeat.
The festivities will kick off at 8pm on thursday night. Starting location will be revealed soon.
I am looking for a few people willing to allow the galloping herd take a look inside their new campers. We need to keep it down to about 10 or so units in total or else we will be out till 3 in the morning. To try to keep it manageable, we are going to restrict it to campers bought NEW since the last Frogtoberfest. In other words, this don't have to be your campers first rally, but it has to be its first Frogtoberfest. As stated, you must be willing to provide some 'refreshments' for the gawkers. Don't ask me how many, I don't have a clue at this point. Better make more just to be safe.
IF you would like to show off your new unit, please PM me.
DO NOT REPLY IN THIS THREAD! SEND ME A PM (Privave Message)! That way its a surprise to everyone, as I will announce each camper only when its time to start towards it.
Again, I'm trying to keep this down to a manageable number, so possibly not everyone who volunteers will get chosen if we get a large number of willing sucker... ah... volunteers. I certainly mean no slight if we can't include anyone's campers, but I'm shooting for a good mix of different units in the time allotted. It would make no sense to put in two nearly identical units. Everyone who is chosen for display will be informed well in advance so you have time to plan for your refreshments.
Of course, you can post any questions you have on this thread, or send me a PM. I'm hoping this becomes an annual Frogtoberfest Tradition.
Tim

That camper crawl sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I could be there this year but alas, wife and I won’t be coming back from Jamaica until Sep 30th.

Please see notice on Main Frogtoberfest thread. CLICK HERE
I put it there because the non-sticky threads in this particular forum get about as much attention as Dolly Parton's legs.

That looks awesome Karen!
Just so you know... All the people who are 'showing' have been notified via PM. If you signed up to show your camper and did NOT get a PM from me, please let me know ASAP.
The camper crawl will kick off at 8:00 PM on Thursday night at my camper (Spot K-5, look for the big white Excursion). After touring my unit, and sampling Miss Kelly's treats for the crawlers, I'll announce the next unit and we will head that way.
If anyone has pitchforks or big flaming torches, bring them, as that will really help set the proper 'tone' for a huge mob of people wandering around together in the night.
Wear comfortable shoes, and feel free to bring whatever walking-around beverage you might want. Pictures will be taken, so please... no gang signs.
I think this is going to be a fun event!

But we are a friendly mob. The torches are just for the look of the thing. Somewhere, in some book, it is decreed that if you have a mob at night, there must be torches. It's like in the rules.
Mob = Torches.
Now, I am sure nobody will actually bring a flaming torch. Besides, despite all my best efforts, I could never make a torch like in the picture that lasted more than 30 seconds. Probably the best I could hope for would be Ronnie trying to light a Coleman lantern or something
Tim

That looks just like the campsite next to ours in Amana. At least you two were attending the Frog-Toberfest in spirit. Great idea!
