Gettysburg PA Late Mid-Late June 2016?

Any interest in a Gettysburg PA mini Rally June - July 2016?

July 4th is the battle anniversary so unlikely to get a block that weekend but maybe either June 17-19 or 24-26.... or July 15-17 or 22-24?

One way or the other count us in.

Another potential weekend next year is September 16-18 2016.
It is the WW2 "Liberation of New Oxford" weekend (17 Sep).

It is a free "Market Garden" reenactment that is very cool.
There was even a Dakota Flyby that dropped "simulated" troops.

New Oxford is just down the road from Gettysburg.

There are many campgrounds around the area as you know.

The most known are:
Drummer Boy Camping Resort
Artillery Ridge Camping Resort
Round Top Campground
Gettysburg Campgroud
KOA-Gettysburg
Granite Hill Camping Resort

That event in September sounds interesting, but I would really like to keep the rally within dates when school is out.

Round top can do a rally of 20-30, if its larger we'd have to look at Drummer Boy... Drummer boy is a massive property, very spread out.

Darn, we'll be at the KOA over Memorial Day weekend. Stayed at drummer boy 2 years ago and liked it. I haven't heard good things about round top or artillery ridge.

What "not good" things have you heard about Round Top? We've stayed there a lot over the past couple years, never had an issue.

I've not been there but friends of ours said they wouldn't go back. Looking forward to trying out the KOA.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that.

It is more of a seasonal oriented campground and they admit that. They are actually working to rearrange the campground so that the weekenders are in one area of the property and the Seasonals are in another section.

I'm not opposed to doing the rally at Drummerboy or anywhere else for that matter.

Being retirees we are looking at Gettysburg while the kids are STILL in school. Much quieter then.
Probably stay there there in late May 2016.

I appreciate your honesty, however my plan is for the opposite to be true. I'm looking for the younger FROGs to come out and bring all the kids!

Everyone would be welcome obviously but I want to make it convenient for those with kids in school to be able to make it.

June 24-26 ok for us, or July. New oxford was great this year! Also the encampment at The Farm!

Wish we could because I love the idea of a FROG rally with more kids in attendance but it is far for us having just come off the NC rally Memorial Day weekend

Depending on where we are I would be interested as well.. Would be nice to put some faces to the names on here. I always liked Gettysburg and we were planning on heading there this summer probably anyway. We are TT member and stay at the Gettysburg location but might be game for the rally
