Goshen 2014 Who's Bringing Kids

I have a thirteen year old that is hoping there will be other kids to hang out with.

Also, will there be activities for the kids?

Hiya! While I can offer no info on children at Goshen, I noticed you're from Pinellas Park!

DH and I are from Tampa Bay (St. Pete). Actually he is from there, I lived there for 5 years, met, married him and dragged him back here.

I worked for an a/c company there in Pinellas Park for 2 years. Still have very close friends living in the bay area and his two (grown) sons live there.

Small world!

Goshen 2014 Who's Bringing Kids

Last year there were a handful of kids attending with their grandparents and maybe a few kids with their parents. Otherwise the rally primarily were attended by couples ages 55 plus. There are no activities for kids at the rally that I recall other than what you can find on your own in the goshen area. This type of rally in my opinion is really geared for adults only.

Ahhh yes a very small world. I knew there had to be some FROGS nearby. DH and I have grown up in this area and have lived in Pinellas park for about 20 years

We did speak to Bob & Cindy about activities for the kids and right now I think they are waiting to see the amount, but I am sure if more knew what kind or how much activity there would be more would bring kids.

I have had kids at the last 2 Goshen rallies. The first year there wasn't many but last year grew a little I know there will be 2- 12 year old girls with us this year. Not any activities specifically planned for kids but enough to do to keep them occupied. Both girls that attended last year are excited to come back this year.

Wow!

I guess we are too young to go.

We'll how young are you?

I seen kids around last year.
Timmy brought his and they got paid to dog walk and dog sit while there owners were away!

My kids didn't go as they are "at that age" where they had summer sports going on.

MS Amy and I are in the lower 40 range.

We had some "late" nights at goshen!

I'll be bringing my set of toddlers (3 & 4 years old). Not really of an age for the OP's 12 year old, but if there's any other people with young ones I'm sure mine would appreciate the company.

Anybody know if there's a playground onsite? Mine are easily distracted with a simple playground and don't really require planned activities.

Yeah, thankfully DW didn't check out the FROG site until after I had us registered. I got the comment:

"I watched the video for the FROG thingy..... They're all old!"

I think she sometimes forgets that we're not exactly young either. I know my creaky bones tell me I'm old every day.

Kids or no kids, looking forward to meeting all of ya.

Yes there will be a number of “old folks” at Goshen. However there is a group calling themselves Phat Phrogs that will be at Goshen too, these folks are the younger crowd. You might hang with them for company.
The Phat Phrogs pretend to enjoy the company of “older folks” but it’s obvious from this photo that hanging with them can be dangerous for us “older people.” Just saying….

Yeap, been reading all about the PPST. They sound like a fun bunch, and they're easily bribed with beer so a case or two should get me in their good graces, but I also worry about them corrupting the young 'uns.

Nah, from all the stories I've seen, I'm thinking you and OC cooked up the whole incident just so he could be tended to by a nice pretty nurse.

They'll be great entertainment for the other 'kids' we're bringing:

Not sure which of my kids will be attending this year, but I have 17 & 7yr old girls, who will most likely bring friends along, if they come. I attempted to put something together for the kids last year, but there just wasn't enough of them around. I had mentioned getting a bouncy house or inflatable of some sort, but I don't think the insurance policy will cover something like that.
Plus without all of Old Coot's hot air, I'm not sure how we would fill it!

Turbs...We are in the high 40's range.

Wherever the party is, we are fine with hanging out with any age. Even DD she is good with kids of all ages.

I was just put back by the other comment that's all. My question was not about age, it was about other kids coming.

*Chuckles* So, I asked DD if she wanted to go (Note: She starts College this AUG) A polite, sweet, smile and a "no" was what I got

6 Actual and I are in our 50s but routinely forget this and act like we are in our 30s
