Ellind!!!!!!

Elind;

If you like Walleye, you can catch them off the boardwalk of St. Clair River--Right near the Algonac State Park. Bring a pole and a walleye Harness and fish after dusk till morning.
Algonac Riverfront Park.
In general, there's a lot of water stuff to do.

Algonac state park.
If you have time, take a ferry near there to Harsens Island...best kept secret in the midwest...it's a nature preserve with cottages and a small town. It's about a 20 mile ride around the whole island. My family had a place there when I was a kid. Currently, my mother resides in New Baltimore. Small world, isn't it? If this doesn't suit you, I would recommend looking for campgrounds near Port Huron, MI...that would be due north about 30 minutes of where you're going at the mouth of Lake Huron. Let me know if you want a list a CGs near there.

Lakeport State park about 10 miles north of Port Huron. It is a real nice park, right on Lake Huron. We stayed there and are going back in July before we go to Goshen.

All you can eat as long as you only catch 5 per person per day, but lake perch is 50 per day.

Lynn and Mike,

I'll check it out for the weekend I need to be there. As a kid, my dad would take us to Harsen's island to fish. He'd fish on the boat slips.

Thanks, Ed See you in Goshen

Help!!!!!!!!!

I trust the Phat Phrog Team to help on this to let me know what will work...after all, that is your motto.

Dilemna is this: We're supposed to p/u our camper 34' Cherokee from the dealer after service tomorrow and haul it to our new campsite at our seasonal park. That's the easy part.

The hard part is getting in the sight, leveling it on blocks (since we won't be towing it away again) in the rain (60% chance). The rain isn't so bad....it's the mud! OMG! We got stuck last week getting it out to take to service...both the 1 ton van and the camper....wheels just spinning ruts. It wasn't pretty. We got it out but were covered in mud head to toe.
What should we do to prevent getting stuck again? Don't say wait, it's hardly an option. I need a "trust me on this" solution----STAT!

Elind!!!!!

You know Harsens Island? It's part of my heart.
I don't have a place there anymore since my father passed and mom moved to a condo, but I still ride my bike there. Love the ferry ride, the peace, and all the aqua blue water.....it's addicting! I swear the world keeps getting smaller.
