Hi, all.

I'm doing a workshop at the rally entitled "Photography 101--Making Better Pictures" and I'd like to invite everyone to come. Here's a short description:

Photography 101 - Making better pictures. Want to take better photographs? This workshop will give you lots of tips that may help. Ken Reek will discuss composition, focus, exposure, lenses and perspective, close-ups, and computer enhancement of your photographs. But don't worry—we won't get bogged down in technical details like f-stops, ISO, megapixels, or gamma. Ken studied professional photography at Rochester Institute of Technology before veering into the computer field, and has enjoyed amateur photography ever since. You can see some of Ken's photos at Photography by Ken Reek, and we will analyze several of these photos in the workshop.

Here are a few of the photographs that we'll analyze in the workshop.

Margaret and I are also going to do a presentation entitled "Yellowstone: Summer and Winter" with photos of our trips to this iconic National Park. If you're planning to attend the rally there (Aug 30-Sep 5) this will be a hint of what you might see. If not, this will show you what you're going to miss! Here is the description:

Yellowstone—Summer & Winter

Yellowstone National Park is a special place, but each season in the park has its own kind of magic. Margaret and Ken Reek have visited Yellowstone in both summer and winter, and have seen its sights by car, horseback, snow coach, cross country skis, and on foot; on organized tours, and on their own. Join us and enjoy Yellowstone vicariously through their photographs of bison, elk, wolves, coyotes, foxes, bighorn sheep, swans and eagles, dramatic scenic vistas, and of course Yellowstone’s magnificent thermal features.

Margaret and Ken Reek enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, XC skiing, paddling, camping, and other outdoor adventures. Since retiring from their careers teaching at Rochester Institute of Technology, they have also enjoyed the freedom to travel to beautiful places throughout the year.

Here are a few photos from that presentation:

We are looking forward to the rally! We went last year and had a ball.

Awesome!
Would really love to attend this 101 workshop and understand photography and our camera better.

I have a question and it probably has been asked but here it goes?? Are fires going to be allowed at the rally grounds??? Can we use our portable fire pit for our campfire???
