Well, we've landed for the night on our trek to somewhere to see something that is there. We're in Racine, OH at the Old Lock 24 Campground. Our oldest son, Mardy will be here for supper. He is working all over OHIO doing quality inspections for Osmose, inspecting utility poles other Osmose crews have treated.
Garmin lead us on a merry chase today as she was programed to avoid toll roads and took us off I77 off thru the boonies. After about 20 miles, we decided enough of her shenanigans and got back on and paid a grand total of $5 ($2.50 at 2 booths). While leaving Ft. Chiswell, and Glenn getting new bolts & nuts at the Napa store, my 2 square storage tube on the back drug and bent the bolts so the tubes were at an weird angle. That bothered Glenn as he had to follow "Trailer trash" all day. He can relax now, 30 minutes after we landed and were set up, the bolts were straightened and the tubes are now sitting straight and square again.

You can see it in person when we get to wherever it is we're going whenever we get there.
OH, BTW, some dude pressed the TURBS doorbell last night instead of the one marked OTHERS and to say the least, did he ever get surprised. When he woke up about an hour later, he was less than a happy camper. Had some choice words and then started laughing and wanted to have BombDoc rig his camper the same way.

Wasn't Glenn, some dude with a walkin' stick. After he woke up and had his words explaining my heritage, he laughed and turned out to be a nice guy.

Well, we've landed at Tree Haven CG outside of Columbus (about 120 miles from Racine--nuts, it would have been nice to get to meet OC before the rally starts). We'll be doing stuff around here until Saturday (zoo, state fair, factory tours, and relaxing).
BTW, I did an experiment on the way down. We were getting 9.9 mpg on regular (87) gas. I put in 31 gallons of 89 octane for 17 cents a gallon more. That's exactly 5% increase in cost, but our mileage went to 11.3, which is a 14% increase. Same roads, same wind. I won't be convinced until a few more successful experiments, but this is certainly intriguing.
Another experiment I want to do when I can is to get ethanol-free gas. I got a POI file for the GPS from poifactory.com for stations that sell this, so I expect I'll get to try this test a few times as well. When the results are in I'll let everyone know.

91 octane non ethanol will net you the best mileage per gallon.
Even for the cost increase it'll still be cheaper to run 91 non ethanol.

X2, now if FT Turbs just doesn't mess it up! Should be able to handle it with only 5 days to go when he takes it over. Maybe Ms. Amy will help him or even ol' Toby.

Now if we could just some how tie the countdown to BBC's for FT Turbs, we might have a slim chance of getting a continued good count. Maybe put 5 BBC's in a locked, thick glassed in box and give him one a day and have him put down how many are left?
