So in other words it doesn't promote sales for FR? Neither does an empty rally.

500 units or 1000 people is not an empty Rally

Honestly, if it weren't for this site, I wouldn't even know about the Goshen rally. And even though we have over 100,000 members here, I'm guessing that's still a fraction of FR owners across the country. I'm not sure how many non-members know about it.

Either way, the number of people that show up every year likely has little to no affect on the decision of whether or not someone buys a FR product.

Also I'd bet that if you took a poll on why people stopped going or didn't go at all, parking next to others with the same make/model would be way down on the list.

I've made tons of camping friends over the years and not a single one of them has ever had anything close to the same make/model as us. I like some variety in my life.

As mentioned it was not an empty rally. Letting other folks see what other brands of FR products there are promotes sales to interested folks that see new offerings. Later RJD

Have you been to any of the smaller local Rallys? All different models and parked together, that's why people attend, for the friendship not the model!

I can understand friends wanting to be parked together, and the answer to that is to first coordinate outside the fairgrounds and arrive together

There are certain logistics being overlooked in all like RVs being parked together, as in trying to get the total number of RVs arriving parked and out of the way as fast as possible to not have logjams....which would and does happen when not parking the way it has been mapped out. It's a fairly well oiled machine and the volunteer parking crew do a fantastic job.

And another note, unfortunately, is that not all owners of a certain type RV want to be parked with the same, and may have previous hard feelings over other matters.
