Yep. I ride it every year with a "select" group of 4-9 other riders. Skyline on a Fri, ride 60 or so around Waynesboro on Sat, then take the valley back to Front Royal on Sub.

Not sure if this thread is the appropriate place but I need some advice as this is the first long trip for my DW and I. I plan on leaving early on Aug 2 and plan on getting to Ohio and possibly stay at one of the Rest stops that have RV hookups but if they are full does anyone have a recommendation on a campground that is not too far off of the Ohio Turnpike? Any suggestions would be welcome.

If you have an iPad, there's a free app to find places to stay: allstays. It's a good app. Enjoy the trip! From my experience living in OH., rest areas aren't for overnight.

We're planning to do the same thing - stay at a service plaza on the Ohio Turnpike. Harrison Lake SP in Ohio is our usual stop when heading west, but they were booked solid for that weekend way back in February. I haven't been able to find anything else that is convenient for us. If the rest area is full I think we'll just plow on and get to the rally a day early.

miles to Goshen

We have to drop off our dogs in Wichita, KS at our son's house, so our est total from Burnet, TX is 1350.

they are 13 & 15 years old and cannot be left alone for more than about 2 hours. We wanted to go on the tours which will be much longer than that. Also, we plan to go to Macinac Island after the rally and I don't think it would be good to take the dogs on the ferrry ( or leave them in the camper while we go to the island.)
