Putting bikes in should lighten the tongue weight some if they are loaded behind the wheels. What does your sticker on the door say for your payload? You should have at least 2300

Is that dry tongue weight or with it loaded? What is your GVWR of your camper?

That is dry the cargo weight is 2445. Not sure what the exact GVWR. I never got a chance to weigh the truck and trailer set up. I have been using my 2008 F150 and it’s been doing fine so far. With or without the bikes. I know without the bikes I’m over on the tongue weight. That’s the main reason for the new TV

F150 will pull it, it is just how long it will, is the issue. My first camper I killed the rear end on my grand Cherokee because of being overloaded. Then a couple years latter engine. I pulled for 8 years but it did hasten the demise of the Jeep

It’s been pretty good so far. I had an extended warranty on it. I just got the tranny done and the front 4 wheel drive axels done. I don’t want to kill it lol. Plus this should be the last new truck purchase. Can’t wait to get camping.

So do you have or getting it? Just check door jam for payload. Some 250,s/2500 have poor payloads dependent on specs.

I’m looking to order one probably this weekend. I’m getting 176” wheel base 8’ bed 4.30 gears heavy duty tow package. Paperwork says GCWR is 22,000 and max weight distribution is 14,800. I got a Blue OX Sway pro 1500 WDH

14 weeks and 4 days. It will be here before we know it. I guess I need to get busy, and ramp up and get going on sending out the agenda and making sure I have everyone’s info to make up name tags.

It was suggested to have an RV crawl. If you are interested on participating ie. Showing off your camper then please let me know by email. Hopefully I’ll have mine new one by then so the last stop of the crawl will be my rig.

You don’t have to show your rig to join in and see other people’s. I think we would need around at least 8 campers to tour to make it fun.

It was talked about having your favorite beverage and crackers and cheese or something little as we go around sort of like a progressive snack time before dinner.

I hope the snow has melted from most everyone’s campers. It snowed here this morning again 🤬

There was another couple with a 4 yr old last year and our 16 yr old daughter and her friend come along and they can help entertain your kids. She helps out at an after school program now. Bring them. The lake is great there for swimming. They have 2 sections; one for little kids, and one for older/adults.
